This maybe a strange thing for a member that should know the rules by now but as I'm in the process of creating my own forums I would like to get an idea of them if that makes sense only problem is when I check the topic for them it says "You do not have permission to view this forum."

I just want to have a good looks through them to get a good idea of them so I can make sure everything I'm doing is the best possible

Do these forums even have rules?

I'm fairly active on a number of other boards, where calling someone an 'asshole' in a post b/c of a disagreement, results in an infraction/disciplinary action....yet I'm reading another thread in which a user keeps calling the other user an asshole due to a disagreement over the 5 min limit on the invincibility cheat......
It's extremely difficult to have adult discussions when people are hurtling insults at each other rather than discussing the issue that started said flame war.

The constant bashing of other users is not what I want from a forum....

Not all forums act like militia's.. this is a forum for Grand Theft Auto, a mature game with a mature audience and sometimes not so mature. There are rules for members to follow but we are also lenient, most members that seem too far out of line are normally reminded by a staff member.

If you see someone simply being a bully or what not, simply report that member and a staff member will review it and take the proper course of action, whether warn, reminder, etc. There's a huge number of active members on at all times, it's hard to watch every single argument, post or case of dumbness.

Other than rules, it's common sense of what certain rules should be. No spamming, flaming, racial remarks, pornographic material, yada yada.. If you feel someone is breaking a rule or should be questioned, simply use the Report feature.

Spoiler

Thanks anyway

Do these forums even have rules?

All forums have rules, it's like the basics of the basics to have set rules and technically if they are not there then there are no rules which is why I beg the staff to at least make a topic containing them :^:

I believe the admins will add the 'announcements' forum back when they have less important issues at hand.

The rules may also have a chance of being rewritten in some sense due to the new features we have now and username changes to come in the near future. So, not sure of an ETA on the Rules topic coming back but I can assure you they will.
