I would have to say GTA: III for sure! It was unlike anything I had played or seen before, at the time it was just epic and I dont think any game will ever give me the excitement and memories GTA: III did.

I still remember walking into my older cousins bedroom while I was still quiet young and watching him driving a car through the subway! That was the first time I ever laid eyes on GTA: III. The sense of freedom was immense, although its not as big or doesn't have as many cars and helicopters it was the first of the 3D era.

GTA III, by far. The first 3D free roaming game, it was an absolute step forward for games in general. I think I`ve spend several hundered hours in that game, just amazing stuff.

I'd hate to see my stats for GTA: III it would make me wonder what I did with my life, I remember buying a copy months before I got my PS2 for my birthday because I heard rumors that the stupid Australian laws where soon going to ban it.

If talking about actual biggest impact, then GTAIII hands down! If talking about which game is my favorite, then its San Andreas, if talking which GTA i liked because of the music and atmosphere, then its Vice City hands down! Each of those participated to impress me one way or the other, however modern era GTA games didn't impress me anyhow, in fact they both (IV and V) are pretty much disappointing...

GTA 3. Not only did it get me into the series, it also got me into video games as a whole.

San Andreas. My pattern of being introduced to GTA was kinda erratic - the first one I played was the original on DOS, and then I skipped it all the way to SA years later.

GTA 1.  It was the first game I played where you could be a criminal, steal cars and whatnot.  It caused me to be super hyped for GTA III which delivered on that hype.

Easily VC. VC is what gave me an appreciation for 80s culture. No game not even GTA IV has changed my perception quite like VC did.

GTA III gave me the most impact on GTA series. I never really liked it until I played 3. After that I was hooked to the game.

i still Remember playing GTA III back in 2001 and just being Blown Away !  so it would have to be III By a Distance.  IV also had a similar  effect on me when i first played it but not quite as much.

GTA 1. Was one of my first games. It introduced me to the series and I loved it. It was the first game I've played where I could go anywhere and do whatever. Loved the idea of stealing cars and listening to radio stations etc. And Joyride by Da Shootaz!!! :inlove:

San Andreas. The setting, the memories, the music, everything about that game will always be one of my favorite things I've ever come across.

GTA 3 was the one of the first games I owned, it changed my outlook on gaming completely and I've had some great memories playing that game

The 3 games that made a major impact on the series are GTA III, SA & IV.

GTA III, never had I played a game like it before. A big city where you could go anywhere, kill anyone, steal any car and just do almost anything with the tools you were given. Remarkable.

Vice City was the first I played when I was about eight years old. I played it at a friend's house and just could not believe what I was playing. Being able to go anywhere in a huge city killing anyone AND being able to drive cars? And the motorbikes? Holy sh*t!!! Needless to say I bugged my parents for weeks on end before they finally gave in to my demands. I was f*cking ecstatic the day I held the case in my hands  :rol:
