15.56 according to the Social Club for PS3. I can't check the in-game price until I get home from work later.

I sometimes have this bug myself. (for offline play atleast, online bawsaq isn't enabled).

I have to sign off and sign on to enable bawsaq. Or go to xbox dashboard, sign off, sign on, start the game.

I did the math a couple of days ago. it's always more benefitial to buy stocks, make profit, sell stocks, buy more stocks with the extra money. = more profit than holding on to the first investment.

Also worth noting that the patch made it impossible to go over the money cap and into negative figures, it just stops at 2.1bil now. So you can safely sell shares. Not that you'd ever find anything in the game that you could spend 2 billion dollars on. That's 2000 Bugattis.

What?

How does that work?

Buy 1000 stocks at $10 each - costs you $10,000
Sell 1000 stocks at $20 each - makes you $20,000

How many stocks can you now buy with your $20,000?

That's right, 1000.

How does selling and re-buying make any sense?

You should check your math. Assuming the stock price will rise it's more beneficial to hold on the first investment than to sell stocks and use only extra money for the next investment. Equation is about as follows:

INVESTMENT * (1 + PROFIT%) > (INVESTMENT - PROFIT) + PROFIT * (1 + PROFIT%)

When PROFIT% > 0

Considering what a masterpiece the world of GTA V is, it amazes me why following this single stock price feels so fresh and interesting.

I already got enough money to buy anything except for my own golf course and I don't really care about that or virtual money either. Sometimes it's difficult to understand your motives.

Yes, shares increase in value. That's why I said buy at $10, sell at $20.

You buy $10,000 worth of shares at $10 per share.
When you sell at $20/share, you've made $10,000 on top of your $10,000 investment. So you now have $20,000.

You can still only buy 1000 $20 shares with your $20,000.

It does seem to have slowed right up since "alot" sold off on the date decided for the TEST. It's a shame more were greedy for sp $ and decided not to sell, so the results cannot be classed as "solid"... but I defo see a slow up since 10pm GMT Monday!

It also doesn't help that it appears quite a few people round the interwebz dont know maths and have been in a pointless selling & re-buying cycle..... that would have kept it from falling too.

Put 30m in with Trevor when it was at like $2.5, sold them at around $11. I blindly sold because I don't trust social club one bit for reliability haha.

So if my limited knowledge on stocks serves me well, once it hits $151 per share, I should sell it then because that's when stock prices start falling?

Either you are lying or don't know how to do math! Or you are going to be screwed.

You can store only 2,147,483,647 which is 2147m or 2.147B
It's a limitation and max integer value supported by 32bit system.

I'm not sure how much this sort of trading crosses platforms as far as NASDAQ/MTGOX/BAWSAQ are concerned, but I would be tempted to say that you're on the edge of a selling frenzy from massive speculation. Unfortunately I have absolutely no idea what the value of these stocks is pinned to, so basically all I have to add is "If you've made a profit then there is a chance that you'll make a loss if you continue" like some brilliant roulette table of wisdom.

Seriously though where are all these shares pinned to?

Probably by finishing the story followed by assasinations (LCN stocks) and then they invest all their money in Bawsaq.

Their starting capital was probably already a couple hundred million before they invested it all in pisswasser.

If you'd even played the game, you'd know it displays profit while still invested. And the profit display seems to go above 32bit, possibly because it's a calculation not a stored value.

Of course I'm not going to sell the shares, it would just max out (it doesn't roll back to negative anymore) - But I'm gonna hold onto them and sell portions of them if/when I need the money.

Yes. You can do Lesters missions after you completed the story missions. This way you benefit the most from the stock changes during assasinations (more money=more profit).
