I had problems with the bigfoot mission coming up. Someone suggested to me to switch to your online character and back. At the time i kept mentioning i wasnt online so i didnt thank the person however i did eventually get to a connection and did as suggested.
The ? came up instantly.

Awolspitfire, you not online? SC tells you what go do but yes, all hobbies need doing for starters.


I wish people would play their game, enjoy it, finish to 100% then start trying to solve the mystery. I can not understand why someone would have all that amazing game play sat there and instead prefer to sit around thinking about somthing thats neither here nor there.
A jet pack or UFO is useless to us. We will be glad when its found but 5 minutes later theres going to be a lot of empty lives out there. Not aimed at you spitfire just a comment in general.

9 times out of 10, landing or touching the UFOs will either kill you or throw you off.

But some people have managed to land on them with helicopters and parachutes, both with and without the invincibility cheat.

I think you just have to get lucky?

 

Has anyone found a single solid reason to even think that there's an undiscovered hidden location, treasure, jetpack, or flyable UFO in the game right now? (Without future updates or DLCs?) :alien:

There is a model file in the game called "asteroid", and it's not the candy, as that's called "meteorite" and has it's own references.

So maybe you're correct. Perhaps some form of update will bring about fun changes in the game world.

Not sure everyone realises this, note the use of 'everyone,' but when viewed from a reasonable distance, Mount Gordo directly lines up to the unsolved glyph. The path up the mountain is blatantly identical to the zigzag, whilst the radar complex at the top is the square on the glyph. Photos to come soon, a friend and I had a lightbulb moment yesterday. Think it's been said before, but hey, who knows anymore?


It does seem to resemble Mt Gordo from a distance. Everything mysterious seems to occur on that part of the map, ghosts, sea monster skeleton, lighthouse with a stopable beam. Has anyone noticed that zig zag texture on the east of Mt Gordo?

I really think you reading some of this thread would help you.
The thread you refer to has been discussed in great length over the last 10 pages (guess), in fact its what a lot of the recent theories and posts are about.

I myself also posted a long time ago that the diagram lines up perfectly with gordo, a lot better than it does with chiliad.
As usual important clues get forgotten or missed due to petty squabbling.

I also posted about the asteroid thing, heard it since starting the game.

 Honestly, there are so many "Curved/zigzag" paths in the game that saying it's a match based on that is the same as saying it matches the Altruist camp because of the curved/zigzag path that goes up to their radio tower, so don't get annoyed if people overlook things that are not unique.

 

Until we can actually figure out something past matching a curved path and a shed at the top to the glyph it will remain a mystery.

Sorry X but it wasnt me who mentioned the path.
My quote refers to the mountain shape of the drawing matches the outline of gordo better than it ever did chiliad.

Its all subjective though.

OKAY, LETS RIGHT IN BIG LETTER BECAUSE I THINK IT IS IMPORTANT.


A few pages back mojo noticed that when franklin is on top of chilliad and michael on the yoga carpet on mount gordo, they could stay approximatly ten in game minutes at the same spot without moving.


I really think we need to find the third spot for trevor. Stop me if i'm wrong but near the yoga carpet at mt gordo, there are three candles. Agreen one, a red(let's say orange one and a blue one, frome the biggest to the smallest. Chilliad, Josiah, gordo.


I am actually trying on top of josiah and trevor don't seem to move anymore whene i'm switching. Gonna start try weather and time condition in an hour, got thing to do, if someone feel to try, i really feel that's a good lead...

I was trying different locations for this last night, I could only get 2 out the three to stay for ages. I had franklin at hippy camp standing on red glyph on chiliad mound, and Trevor at the altruists cave, tried Michael at various places but eventually someone would leave, then they would all go.

 

noticeable with Trevor was that if you stood him in the cave when you switch away then back he'd moved to outside where you  can see the sun setting, he did this every time.

 

I was thinking about the hippy camp being a map, and thinking that if they stayed in place in the world they might stay in place on the camp. I took each one separately, so they didn't start wanting to hang out, put franklin on red glyph again, Trevor on the yellow one at the top, and stood Michael in front of the point of the arrow.

they stayed for a full in game day before I decided to quit it.

 

so I think we need to figure out where these points are directing us to. 

 

or it might just be that because they can see each other they don't move, I haven't tried this anywhere else.

No worries and welcome to thread.
The problem is ive been here since about page 4 theres now 308, 300 of which are just repeating the 8.
In 300 pages i dont actually think were in an any different situation than page 1. Over 9000 posts and we've achieved nothing.

I've heard the asteroid stuff too on the radio, but it was when I was at a certain part of the game. I'm pretty sure that's scripted.

Hi, ive just joined this forum tonite as i have noticed alot of similar thoughts/methods being used recently that i am trying & think is a better shot at beating this. I was at 100% 2 weeks ago & have been trying almost every logical method ive read on forums over that time. I dont believe Mt Chiliad or the holigram ufo are the key, only the trigger point for this easter egg. Why?
1. the ufo there has been proven many many times already that it is just a hologram (nobody can get close enough to it before it dissapears)
2. no tunnels have been actually proven to exist under the mountain (i have tried all the possible ones posted, like the tunnel behind the mill & the 2 doors labelled T01 & T02 in the car tunnel to the west of mt chiliad, shot them all for 10mins with a tank & it does nothing)
3. the other ufo's are possibly visible if youve reached 100% even before you have seen the 1 on mt chiliad (seen a number of forum posts stating this. I saw that 1 first so cant verify myself)
4. following R* previous easter eggs, it seems illogical to place something like the jetpack on a mountain with no protection, virtually no people at all in fact, & only a stray cougar to worry about? the last jetpack was in similar place as fort zancudo, so why would they change that?

Why do i believe fort zancudo is the key to the jetpack?
1. as stated above, R* put the last jetpack in a base, not a isolated & unprotected place like the top of mt chiliad.
2. the special UV map highlites the forts control tower with the words 'take control' & all the markings on it have shown definate collectables & also easter egg clues (the referance to the prison with a clue to the infinity 8 killers prison wall writings) so it wasnt put on there for no reason.
3. there is a definate ufo above the fort. not a hologram 1 like mt chiliad. also seen pics posted of some ppl that have been able to land on the outer part of it, unlike the 1 above the alien mural site, which instantly kills you or throws you off if you touch it.
4. i have also been in the control tower many times, & yes there is an elevator in there, the doors open but it wont work when you press right on your d-pad, but the game does acknowledge when you try tho, as it clicks & the character says something when it doesnt work. no fake doors do that. Also the only interactive object i know that tries but cant open is the armoured bank truck doors, & even then your character doesnt say a word, just attempts to open it. (i am still not fully sure if it eventually works to get the jetpack, as the building next to the tower is also a strong possibilty, but i have seen it works for the enemy tho, i will explain more on that shortly)
5. also the random character dancing to the song at the base of mt chiliad next to the lake has these words in the lyrics:
"if you want to see an angel, you got to find it where it fell" (a possible referance to the mt gordo ghost? or the ufo in the ocean?) also
"if you want to get to heaven, you got to raise a little hell" (a clue to the ufo above the fort or jetpack, also stating that you will have to be in a major fight to get it, just like the control tower battle would do)
6. also 2 things i havent seen anybody notice yet? the house that has the big 'welcome alien sign' (you find a spaceship part there) take note which direction this is facing. not towards any of the other ufo's, even tho they are closer, but its facing towards fort zancudo? also ppl sit at nite there waiting for something. Another thing, a house not far from that 1 has a private viewing platform next to it. unlike all the others on the mountains or behind alien mural site, these are not just sitting side by side aimed straight ahead, if you look at where they are pointing even before you look through them, 1 is pointing towards mt chiliad & the other is looking towards the alien mural site & prison. a coincidence? its also the only viewing platforn where the ppl attack you for just being there, no other platform do they do that.

What have i tried when taking over the control tower?
My best attempt so far was when i got all 3 characters together to hang out. Instead of going to a bar etc i took the cargobob with 3 of us in it, flew very low over the fence on the river side towards the tower (keeps the alarms from going off till you are about the middle of the base) landed just infront of the tower entry doors. made a mad dash to them, as soldiers will come out, but your other characters will shoot at them giving you a little bit of time. entered bottom level with all 3 still alive. now heres the tricky part. the other 2 will not enter the stairwell, they will stay at the bottom, but while you are going up to check the top floors for soldiers, they will stop the enemy from coming in, so you dont have to worry about being shot from behind. after clearing the tower you have to go back to the bottom floor again. why? because the enemy wont enter the building again until you do when you have another character/s there. but be warned! even tho you killed everybody upstairs, more appear up there & will come down the stairs behind you if you dont keep going back up to get them. once you do that they stop coming in the bottom doors again til you go back down. then it repeats that cycle again. just like wave attacks. so how do these soldiers appear back upstairs with no entry doors? i am guessing the lift. as there is 2, 1 on the bottom floor & 1 near the top. so it works for them but not for you (at the moment). i have lasted for about an hour in there, killed approx 30+ soldiers, but the ppl who spawn upstairs eventually get you when your trying to shoot ppl coming in the bottom doors. you cant stay upstairs or they stop coming in & you are just at stalemate til you go back down. you cant wait down the end of ground floor hallway (best place for cover & to watch stairwell door) because the enemy stop coming in, you have to get almost to the doors before they send in another wave, hence why you are in a never ending struggle to watch both ways. I would bet that there is a trigger of kills you need to eventually beat them, but i havent been able to get enough kills before dieing. also others have noticed that 1 enemy at the top seems to be incharge or important, as he doesnt instantly shoot you like the rest, and you maybe able to take hostage? by just aiming at him like store robberys (i havent been able to not kill him so far, as he usually has another person or 2 with him and im so worried about dieing i always shoot him by mistake). some of the floors have cameras, hence why they can spawn upstairs or send in ppl through bottom doors when you go down.

My final thoughts on this subject:
1. i cant be sure if doing this way will work? but i can last way longer in there doing it this way. (the trigger may only allow you to do this & have a limit on the enemy, not just unlimited spawning. Or you may only be allowed to use 1 other person?)
2. as all those that have completed the missions would know, you were asked to kill other characters, i didnt so maybe i havent reached all the triggers to allow me to do it? another thing many have missed is if you goto replay mission menu, the mission 'something sensible' says to kill trevor to achieve gold level. also the next mission 'the times come' also states to kill michael to achieve gold. i remember being asked to do this but didnt. so the question is, were you suppose to kill 1 so you can meet the criteria to pass it? or were you infact spose to kill both? as you could never achieve gold unless you did? i didnt do that so im unsure if i killed trevor then i wouldnt be required to kill michael? or would i still be asked to kill both? the gold ranking points to both. need others who did it to verify that.
3. i am still puzzled over parts of the mt chiliad picture. not sure if you overlayed it on the map etc to find the glyphs & ufo locations? but i do believe if my above theory of having to kill another character before finishing the last mission, would make alot of the misc stuff you could still do nearly impossible, due to most things being reliant on a certain character to do, like all the side missions etc. so my theory is the ufo at bottom right has a line to the jetpack symbol because that is what triggers the jetpack to be awarded to you by beating them in the tower. now for my biggest out there theory, what if the middle egg symbol is not representing 'easter egg' or a 'dinosaur' or other such theorys lol but infact represents a character being respawned (the character you had to kill in those missions?) that way you would be able to finish everything again? the ufo at the top has a straight line to it unlike the other 2. almost like its beaming it down, also using basic drawings like they have on the mural, what would be the easiest & most basic image to represent this? to me it would be an egg cracking open. you couldnt get a more global representive image of something being born or reborn than that?
4. what ufo is the real one? my opinion wouldnt favor the 1 above the fort. why? because it looks more like stealth bomber to me, black, has angles like military craft have, also it sits above the base. also the 1 above the alien mural site looks more like what you would expect, also the crashed ufo in the sea is identical to it. maybe it was captured by the FIB & had FIB put on it to confuse us? the crashed 1 doesnt have that on it? & it is being held in place by the military technology & once you have beaten them it is freed? it makes more sense that a jetpack would be from a human source than aliens, and they reward you for freeing them by beaming back down your dead character? sounds abit more of what you would expect a superior race to do, than give you a jetpack which the zancudo military already seem capable of having?

I hope this doesnt cause to much anger etc, as i have seen so many get roasted on the forums for airing their opinions that others wont take a second to consider possible. But i have tried almost every other method posted to no avail. I have never used a cheat either (took me 2-3 ingame weeks just to get rain at 3am on mt chiliad & to time it right to get there on time) and this is only my theory on working through the last 4 weeks of forum suggestions & eliminating the possible from the absurd. My next test will be using Franklin with 1 other character then just Franklin (as he is not 1 of the characters that could of been killed) & taking 'Chop' with me. This will eliminate the trigger point not working by using the other characters, also you wont be in the 'hang out' mode either which could do that also? but Chop will be very handy for giving me a warning & attack the soldiers who come down the starway behind me while i fight the ones at the front doors. Only prob is you cant take chop in a helicopter, only cars (tried trucks & tank etc but he cant get in so he runs home lol)
Sorry for such a long post but i wanted to give asmuch info as possible to let you make the best from my info. Good luck everybody! hope we crack this one soon as its starting to get abit frustrating since R* doesnt want to give us a good clue to put us all on the right track.

Hey i know russianwhatever why not post somthing of use. Every post i seem to read of yours is a troll. We can really do without your pettiness, bad language and requotes. Grow up.

How am i trolling. Just doing whatever others are doing. Quoting other comments with useless sh*t. Just like yourself.

Ok this is just a thought so no bullsh*t plz,Anyways earlier today i was really stoned and i was snooping around the base and anyways when you go in the controle towers there is 2 elevators witch everyone knows about and i was thinking.....if they both open and close when you get in them then they HAVE to do something witch got me thinking that maybe if you bring the characters there in put each of them in an elevator and one at the bunker elevator then maybe something will happen cuz you can hide in both the controle tower and the bunker without being seen after getting the wanted level off of you so maybe that would give us a chance to take the shot cuz i mean i have never heard or seen someone try.Any thoughts?

This could be nothing. I've only been to the hippy camp once before and it was daytime. I noticed I had a full moon and raced down there, and this looks a bit like a party.

There's a van with graffiti as well. I haven't investigated further yet. I've got the game on pause. Wanted to make sure this was actually something unusual and they don't just camp like this every night.

Edit: I've took more photos but they're not showing up on my Snapmatic page. Could just be an error.

Edit 2: They've turned up. Thought I was gonna have to use my real life phone then.

99% sure it's photoshopped simply because it also says GTA Online... And Franklin and Michael in the pic too? I mean I know certain characters appear in online but also with an Original picture out there? I'd take this with a really small grain of salt...

i agree 308 pages is a big ask, below is a link to a post and you only have to read the first and that should be enough, if not let me know what needs adding or updating so we can keep it up to date, and direct people to read that first before commenting here (i'm in no way telling people not to try things for themselves, but most of us have been through it)

Not sure if it has been mentioned. When you have the right position you can see a waving alien right under the ufo on the car at the sandy shores hippy camp. Found it strange to find that UNDER something like this. Wouldnt be it more logical if it would be clearly visible for anyone like in the cockpit? Maybe a hint for trying to get inside through the Ufos hole.

i have tried to get 2 characters in there by switching between them, but asoon as you change the other 1 decides to wander off. Its impossible to keep switching between them & shoot the enemy & not die. I have even tried switching between 2 til they are both at trevors hangar/helipad (they have to keep some distance apart or the 'hang out' option kicks in, & if you decline it, the other character will walk off & is very difficult to switch between them & keep them at same place) i then got trevor in the tank, & before he can get out or drive off i quickly jump into the cargobob with the other character, fly over the tank & pick it up with trevor still in it. the 'hang out' option doesnt activate this way even tho he is close enough. i then flew into the fort (same method i posted above) & when the alarm sounds i dropped the tank outside the tower then landed & got in without dieing. But trevor doesnt hang around tho? i watched out the tower windows hoping he would kill alot for me but he kills only a few before taking off or being killed (*injured* as your other characters never die, or they would have to be removed from your game) so i doubt you could achieve that in that way? also my theory is the top elevator is to allow for the respawning of the enemy at the top of the tower when you are at the bottom (as described in my previous post)
