Currently working on a playthrough where the very last thing I'll need to do for 100% is complete the last mission (A, B, or C...three saves at the end). I'll report back in like a freakin' week or two when I get there. bleh

Sorry for being a noob but what's all this about "Brian"?

"Brian" Was some fellow who did not own or play GTA (any), who had only seen it being played by a friend, and subsequently heard about the easter egg mystery and in short order went nuts... like David Koresh nuts... he read all sorts of crazy ideas into this game and the mystery and basically started writing long manifestos about his theories on how Rockstar was calling for a new world order and we need to rebel against society  and blah, blah, blah, he was a visionary and you should follow him to some crazy sh*t nirvana...

Basically he sounded a little "off" to begin with, and then quickly escalated to full blow angry madman/prophet and was banned from these forums... somehow (we believe) he started other accounts and tried again...

Basically he was nutso...

As a matter of fact when that gunman shot up LAX the other day, I really thought it was going to be "Brian"... who knows maybe he is, he just did not mention Rockstar or GTA V yet.

So "Brian" here equals Crazy sh*t talking madman.

Cheers!

I dont know if it was brian who started the whole discussion on whether or not karma was in play, but does anyone other than me have a nasty feeling that 'how you play the game' refers to how realistically or character-specifically we played?

I'll be the first to admit I enjoy a bit of RP'ing while I play but has anyone truely played the story without needless killing (NPC's, drivers, even animals). Pedestrian kills: zero etc...Ive seen karma written in a few places that are already making you think. The alien graffiti on the silos, the hippy camp etc.

Ludicrous idea and a genuine feat of accomplishment to anyone who can claim to have played this game without 'playing gta' as it were.

my game does something weird.. sometimes while playing as mike everyone starts screaming and running away from me as if i just started shooting.. cars will run red lights and drive over people just to get away.... so maybe that has to do with my karma choice perhaps? or maybe its a bug?

it does reward you for being good though, either a small amount of cash or in the case of the animal ark guy...subtle hints that the lesser travelled way has its own rewards?

Can I get someone to pull out the textures orsomething for the UFO ontop the van at the hippy camp? I  was inspecting it and it seems there are markings on the bottom of it. But I can't quite get low enough to get a good enough angle to make out what they are.

out of the blue, i shall now mention that i notice that whenever i go to ammu-nation to change a gun color i get an autosave.  i have experimented with buying ammo and armor and i don't get an autosave, but as i have all weapons i can't experiment with buying new ones, if anyone who isn't maxed out wants to try this.

i only mention this because about eleven hundred pages ago someone said we should be keeping track of autosaves that pop up out of the blue, and this particular one is recurring.  EVERY time i change a gun color i get an autosave.  conclusion:  possibly, different weapon colors have different effects.

or, the game just really wants to remember you bought a pink rifle.

kinda weird, i do remember buying a color scheme for the first time counts as the last upgrade which is part of an achievement, not sure why it would save by simply changing to an already owned scheme though ?

Landing on the Sandy Shores UFO kills you?

Or did I just drop down on it too hard?

9 times out of 10, landing or touching the UFOs will either kill you or throw you off.

But some people have managed to land on them with helicopters and parachutes, both with and without the invincibility cheat.

I think you just have to get lucky?

Has anyone found a single solid reason to even think that there's an undiscovered hidden location, treasure, jetpack, or flyable UFO in the game right now? (Without future updates or DLCs?) :alien:

And has anyone counted how many times people have written, "I'm done!" here?
"Boo-hoo, I'm quitting this thread forever!" posts are the most ridiculous, pointless messages in the thread.

Anyone who cries that they'll never post here again should get a virtual slap on the butt for each time they post after that. :wtf:

There's a few thing that are still unaccounted for. Two that I recall are mentions of an asteroid and alien egg model.

I'm sure there are other things but they escape me as of right now, heh.

Smeefy dude, if you dont have anything to contribute to the forum please stay passive, if others are discussing about missions bringing up used theories, they are well dealt with by the other users here. No need to demoralize the forum.

Well said!

A question:

Did someone hear in WEAZEL NEVS something about taht next week some ASTEROID is going to be close to the EARTH, and there is a high risk of it to hit our planet??

I heard it yesterday on SPACE RADIO..

I never heard it before...  DID YOU??

Is it possible that R* are prepairing something like that??

See now this is very interesting if this is true.

There is a model file in the game called "asteroid", and it's not the candy, as that's called "meteorite" and has it's own references.

So maybe you're correct. Perhaps some form of update will bring about fun changes in the game world.

This thing is so simple, I can't believe you people still haven't figured this out. You have to find Colonel Mustard, take him to the library, then hit him with a candlestick. Boom, bang, zip, jetpack.

Of course! It's so obvious now! Heh-heh.

I see you can't stay away? Thought you said farewell?

I just meant I was going to unsubscribe to the thread due to the constant emails I was receiving. I'll still enjoy checking the thread from time to time to see what's up. But I'm relying moreso on random chance than following the thread post-for-post now.

Plus, some of you are super nice and interesting people.
How could I stay away! :D

I dont want to insist on my point but one last thought i want to share: when your playing as micheal for example and you have your family in the car, if you shoot somebody they will remark on it, similarly if you drive like a wrc professional, some people dont like it, even if you dont crash. The game knows when your being serious and when your messing around. It knows how your playing the game.

Also to me, online seems like the place where the real GTA is happening, everything except blowing up eachothers cars. They supposedly aim for the game to come across as a movie. You dont often see the lead roles taking some R&R to blow up some civilian car (it counts cop cars and civilians seperately) or go on a killing spree. Everything else in SP is within the means of each character.

In conclusion, I will endeavour to re-play single player in a role-specific manner, although i will attain 100% on my first save first.

I dont expect anyone else to try this so im notifying the record keepers that this theory is in line to be tested.

TL;DR? i dont agree with this attitude, if its too long, start off with some simple books aimed at children, at work your way up towards adult converstion :) No offense intended of course.

If Michael owns property, sometimes there will be a disturbance there (usually you get a text) that results in people running around in a panic if you are close by.

Example: I own Pitchers with Franklin, and when I drive off the hill from his house, there will be people screaming and running because the Ballers will be shooting up the place.

Maybe that's what is happening?

not really sure.  i know i did it with more than one character, though.  i used michael and trevor so far.  like i said, could mean something, could mean nothing.  the first color i chose was the police blue, and i have the platinum option as well, which the sniper guns look loverly in.

granted it is in a game where i had no guns already colored, so you might be right, but i dont remember getting an achievement, though, although sometimes i don't notice them, since i am still not used to the concept of fake trophies yet.

edit:  my goal was to have each gun in each class one of three colors.  the autosave usually hits as i am walking out the door.

I think this answers the whole jetpack mystery. The jetpack in the image is listed as one of the approaches for the heist. Thanks for finding this

Edit: on second thought, maybe its not solved... Nice photoshop job on the part of the creator...

Nah, i can't find it anywhere else the ign thread. Fake.

Plus it would be really disapointing if the solution was offered like that.

OKAY, LETS RIGHT IN BIG LETTER BECAUSE I THINK IT IS IMPORTANT.

A few pages back mojo noticed that when franklin is on top of chilliad and michael on the yoga carpet on mount gordo, they could stay approximatly ten in game minutes at the same spot without moving.

I really think we need to find the third spot for trevor. Stop me if i'm wrong but near the yoga carpet at mt gordo, there are three candles. Agreen one, a red(let's say orange one and a blue one, frome the biggest to the smallest. Chilliad, Josiah, gordo.

I am actually trying on top of josiah and trevor don't seem to move anymore whene i'm switching. Gonna start try weather and time condition in an hour, got thing to do, if someone feel to try, i really feel that's a good lead...
