SA fanboys are f*cking annoying!
Waah IV was sh*t SA was better Waah!
GTA V launches
Waah V sucks SA was better Waah!

Seriously, shut the f*ck up.

Nobody is saying its better or worse, we are saying that it has things that GTA V doesn't and some things that GTA V has better. Same with GTA IV related to GTA:SA and GTA V, and same with GTA V related to GTA IV and GTA:SA.

The thing is that Rockstar didn't make the perfect GTA yet.
Maybe not you personally but the whole thread collectively is full of ass hurt and nostalgia.

I really hate when people say Rockstar 'took away' features from San Andreas. They built a new engine from the ground up to make GTA IV and that engine also gave us Max Payne 3, LA Noire, Red Dead Redemption and GTA V. Something about the framework of GTA III (that they used to make Vice City, Bully, San Andreas and at least one of the Manhunt games) was not what Rockstar wanted going into next-gen and they decided to make an engine that could give them what they wanted. That takes time and they have to develop features all over again because of that. GTA IV was as good as it was going to get in 2008 and only more time could have gotten us more features. If anything GTA is on an upward spiral. If GTA IV was the "GTA III" of the RAGE engine than GTA V is the "Vice City" and hopefully the next one will be the "San Andreas".

I have Nostalgia. but I do enjoy the game for the most part. I like the new features in V. IV I have Mixed feelings on though.

Yeah, it's totally on a downward spiral. That's why it was the most sold game of all time.

Enough with the SA nostalgia.

God I really hate GTA fanboys/Rockstar fanboys. Just cause its the most sold doesn't make it good. Where does that logic come from? MW3 and Black Ops 2 sold a lot but many people say it sucks cause they don't even try to add anything new.

The problem with Rockstar is they focus way too much on the world itself they forget about the content. I would of been happy with RDR graphics with way more sh*t to do. This GTA game is only a upgraded IV game that IV should of been. It doesn't even have more features then SA and half the features in this game are the same racing sh*t. Either they didn't focus at all on the Single Player or they just strip it down for all the cash they can get.

This is the first GTA game I'm about the beat on my first playthrough. I already go 90% done with the game. The story is about 50% and a little above. Last time the story took up so much was VC.

Because you are a tad blinded by your love of San Andreas, lets go though each one of your crappy points.

..is an insult to true GTA fans.

Not really, in fact, it's a gem  to true GTA fans.

Hello.... Is there anybody out there who remembers San Andreas?

Yeah, good game for the time. It was 9 years ago, time to move on.

You know... the game that had the casino, house burglaries, nitrous oxide, muscle and weight gain, recruitable gang members that could do drive-bys with you, various properties to live in, destruction derbies, bars, restaurants, pool and REPLAYABILITY.

Casino, yes.

House burglaries, well that is still in if you count holding up 24/7's.

Muscle weight gain, this was useless, why would it be needed again?

Game members, you have that heists.

Properties, you have that.

Destruction derbies, cool, but not exactly needed when you have outdoor racing any why be indoors when you a big map to explore?

Bars are in the game silly?

Pool is replaced by darts.

So, your points are struggling so far.

Ring any bells? Then why the f*ck have you given this garbage 10/10?

Because it's good. Now we are heading into troll territory.

There is NOTHING innovative and new aside from the character switching system, it's lacking features that were even in GTA games 11 years ago.

Back in 2004, I imagined that by now we'd be able to customise our apartments, create our own gangs, have a story that dynamically changed throughout depending on our choices, be able to go in at least 10% of the buildings, destructible environments, a lot more methods of making money, real interaction with pedestrians that made them feel more human, multiple dialogue choices, a lot more properties to live in, and actually KEEP EVERYTHING THAT WAS IN SAN ANDREAS.

So, you want just San Andreas, over and over again. What is the fun in that?

You would be the same one complaining that they keep using San Andreas over and over again, you sad little man.

I don't know about you, but I play the game for the story, and this game has a brilliant story. If you want all those things, this game isn't for you. Simple. Play The Sims or something.

But good old George Lucas.. I mean.. Rockstar, got lazy in 2008, they stripped out a ton of content and thought they could fool people into loving a game almost purely on graphics. Well... turns out they did.

One game, every 5 years. Spot on with the lazy comment there! Damn, you are on fire!!

Imagine you had a wife for a few years, with the best personality, fun to be around, Michelin star level of cooking ability, amazing sense of humour, pornstar level in the bedroom; then one day you wake up and she looks like model.

She's never looked so good, but there's something missing.. She sucks at cooking but can still make toast, lost all her sense of humour but occasionally cracks a smile, and it's hard to get a conversation out of her, unless she wants to go bowling.

No point commenting on this sh*t.

What the f*ck Rockstar, now almost every game developer has got lazy.
Let's just hope that Naughty Dog make an open world game soon.

No, Rockstar, while not perfect, put in a lot of effort to keep the gamer happy. It's sad they have to cater to people like yourself whose opinion keeps changing because they want to find something to hate.

Go away, this is by far, are sh*tty attempt at a troll post.

well... I would agree to the fact that in my opinion SA is still the greatest GTA game to date .. But I don't think GTA V deserves all the hate it's been getting if anything they gave us what we asked for in IV .. You guys wanted to drive the big planes .. Check .. You guys wanted a massive map .... Check ... You guys wanted tats, hairstyles,a tank with military, countryside, jets, tougher cops (which alot of folks are now crying about) more variety of cars, minigames .. The list goes on and on ... We have the bonus of 3 protags which turned out great .. I agree the game does feel like it's missing something( I don't know exactly what it is ) but let's not act like rockstar didnt grant wishes... this game is a huge step forward from IV ...

All the guys complaining about how they are almost done with the game in such a short time. Maybe next time not use every guide going to rush through the game? There is no way most of these 100% in x hours found those scraps of paper and ufo parts all by themselves like it was just laying in front of them.

I wouldn't even bother trying to explain to these lot, true fans like me who think San Andreas was the pinnacle of the GTA series will agree. A game that was released about 10 years ago has more features to offer than GTA V, and a story which gets you involved. If they think plonking us back into an LA based city would solve things they were wrong, it takes more than that.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great game but the lack of missed opportunities annoys me. Lets hope they bring some of that back in GTA Online.

im with the OP...i just always thought by now they wouldnt take older stuff out, just add more on top of it...who cares if u didnt use those options some 1 did...i dont like the yoga but now that its in im sure some 1 likes it...i often wonder why people who interview them dont ask the real questions gta fans wanna know...yo dan why u guys take out so much stuff the fans love? yo d'sker why we on the west coast with no hydraulics?  id trade all of my game collections for a gta sa remake with all the new rage engine settings and add co-op what other game would you really need?

ive come to terms that this is gta 5 and its made on a xbox 360 so it has its limits...do i really like it yes....Am i happy with it nope not at all,but ive yet to play the online part so im not ready to sell this xbox i just got for gta yet. But if the online feels like the single player after a few weeks then this will be the 1st gta i played and sold cause i knew i was ready to move onto another game....im not a yes man, so im not one of those people who are going to praise r* for anything they hand me....i paid for the game so i showed my support...but the fact is there are tons of other games to play these days and the times of r* being high and mighty and ignoring the fans gets a little old...

i dont wanna wait another 5 years to find out gta 6 we play as a 16 year old girl and a 65 year old guy in miami...

im with op all the way..i thought by now we could make a char, play co-op,go in lots of buildings, have all the old features and like 20 more adding on,gang members ride own cars and bikes, more damage on cars, ect ect ect....

It's a great game but the only real disappointment here is the Online and the immense focus on it. I'll wait until Online launches but I'm starting think they gimped SP because of it. That's what will really hurt if anything. We'll see. Other than that knowledge, I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I just feel like there could have been more. The heists have so much more potential.

I'm not sure where to rank it on my top GTA list. I will say that I've never played a GTA game so intensely and obsessively before GTA V. I spend my entire weekend just sitting at my desk and playing it.

Radio is okay. I guess it's just hard to get into it because there are several artists and tracks I've never heard before. I think the reason why the other soundtracks were so great was because they had several selections from many main-stream groups.

It might just be my TV, but the lack of AA in this game is awful. I can't ignore the jaggies. Textures are obviously bad, but at least you never have to get a closer look at them unless you aim at the ground or use a sniper rifle.

I'm not big on the aiming system. In my opinion, the lock-on was better in GTA IV. I play mainly in free aim, but I using a low speed because it's hard to be precise with sticks. The downside to that is that it's too easy to get killed if an enemy flanks me because it takes a few seconds just to face them.

Planes handle nicely, but they're way too slow. I had fun with the flight school.

Off the top of my head, those are my only gripes. It's a 9/10 game for me, but I was foolishly expecting it to be a near-perfect game.

Jesus I don't get why some people go so hard in the SA nostalgia. I played SA religiously back in 04-07 and logged atleast 500 hours across 3 or 4 playthroughs. Enjoyed every second of it. But in my opinion V is light years better than San Andreas on so many levels. Yes I love SA and I thought I had a ton of nostalgic love for that game until I saw some of the posters here. If you like SA so much better than V then why don't you take the GTA V disk out and put in the GTA SA one??? No one is stopping you!!!

I think you don't understand nothing about what we are talking about.

We want a mix of all pros from all GTA's in one game. That means I want things from GTA IV and GTA SA on GTA V which GTA V doesn't have or have badly done, the same as I would want things from GTA V to GTA IV and GTA SA.

You understand now? Going to play GTA SA won't solve the problem...

If you want shooting - buy COD, if you want driving - buy NFS, if you want flying - buy a flight simulator. Apparently logic is lost on you.
