I didn't mind that but I hated Trevor's intro scene.

I actually enjoyed it and didn't hated Trevor for that. I hate Trevor for such other things in the game...

It was bad. Did not enjoy it at all and didn't want to do it. I'm glad that at least it was Trevor who was the one to do it, and that he didn't kill the poor innocent guy. I respect Michael and Franklin too much for them to have done it instead.

it's a game. I'm killing thousend of innocents... I steal so many cars...

why the hell I should say "Oh this torture scene is soo bad... tz bad R*".

That's GTA. We're killing and hurting others.

Uh... you're killing innocents? The game doesn't tell you to do that (not including cops). You sick f*ck what are you 12? Who plays a GTA game to kill innocents?

That's NOT GTA. Usually the missions respect innocent life (again, not including cops for some reason). It's not Rockstars fault what sick disgusting things you choose to do in Free Roam.

I enjoyed it so much that I contemplated torturing people in real life.

I don't know why some people were so disturbed by it. You see worse stuff on the news; THAT's the messed up stuff.

Well, do you think Rockstar would allow you to randomly kill innocent civilians if they didn't want their players to have fun by doing so? Take a deep breath, son.

Why are you whining about innocent civilians being killed on GTA? If you don't like the fact that you can kill, basically, whoever you want to, then GTA isn't the game for you.

Don't tell me GTA isn't the game for me. I've been a fan of the franchise since III and love the games for many reasons. At no point in the game does it say you should go around killing innocents. It's not what GTA is about so it should make me no less of a GTA fan for not doing it. I wish they would make it so guns don't shoot when you aim at peds but then they'd probably lose many of the 12 year old fan base that enjoys killing innocents, so it wouldn't make sense from a business perspective to do that.

That torture scene was too much in my opinion.

I mean, I love to cut people in half in Postal 2 Apocalypse Weekend, but the torture in GTAV was something wicked.

Exactly it's a game. Games should be fun. Less torturing and more crazy stunts/theft/racing etc, the things a GTA game should be.

That scene was over the top. I like killing people in videogames, but when acting as Trevor in that scene I felt uncomfortable a little. But with the conversation Trevor had with the guy when they drive to the airport I am fine with it as I know what R*'s intention was.

That lecture afterwards was complete BS. Torture is a very effective method of getting information. Do you honestly believe so many countries do it just because it's fun? What if you have a suspect, and you know they know something, but they refuse to tell? Kill them? No. You do everything you can to inflict pain on this person, convincing them that the only way to end it is to divulge the information.

Oh, and yeah I loved the torture scene. I thought it was one of the best scenes in the game, and I just wish Trevor could do that more often. He's a psycho, he does that stuff. It should have been a minigame for him or something.

Did you miss the part where half the time torture is overdone, and the person would give information if the person asking him wasn't rushing.

After the first part of torture, he starts to give info but the man cuts him off. Torture can either make a person scared, and shut them off, or it can get info on rare occasion. Game does a good job of showing that.

On a side note, I loved it. I also thought it said alot about Trevor's character. The Two-Face type character he is. One second, he's enjoying it, but then it's almost like he realizes what he has to do to save the guy in general.

In this instance, I will give that to you. It was obvious Haines was going overboard when he didn't need to. But that doesn't mean torture is not effective. Sure there's assholes out there, but there's assholes everywhere.

Just another way to de-sensitize the public into thinking torture is an ok thing to do. Waterboarding...like wtf...I'm sure the american military fully approved.

Not just waterboarding, Waterboarding with gasoline <3

If it was just a torture scene in order to satisfy kids that want gore out of their video games, like other games do,I would strongly disapprove. However that was not at all what it was about.

I didn't enjoy it to be honest. I felt sorry for the guy lol but i'm not going to make such a big deal out of it like some people. PLUS remember, this is an 18+ rated game and it clearly states this so you can't really complain.

I honestly found it to be pretty f*cking rough. No matter his intention and what was said afterwards, Trevor is a complete psycho.

It's an interesting experiment though. When playing as Trevor and running around gunning down civilians, it's all great fun. But when Trevor is actually acting like he's enjoying the violence, we all get uncomfortable. While I didn't exactly "enjoy" the scene, I found it to be really interesting and I applaud Rockstar for having the balls to go through with it.

The

Also I wish there were more opportunities to use each method. Because I hit him twice with the iron bar which meant I couldn't use something else.

Don´t

The purpose of that whole mission was to promote an anti-torture stance. We all iced a guy who may or may not have been a terrorist based on vague descriptions obtained via a humourless and joyless torture session. All in the grimy name of "the war on terror." That mission was one big protest against torture and we all took part.

At least someone here understood it.

I didn't like it, I would have rather we got to torture one of the more dickish characters in the game. That would have been more enjoyable.

I don't understand why people are so upset over a torture scene in a game which since 2001 has allowed me to f*ck a hooker like an object and then brutally murder her to get all of my money back. The point is that these games aren't about morality.

I thought the mission was absolutely fantastic, not only as a great demonstration of the benefits of multiple characters but also as a great way of showing just how f*cking insane Trevor is. You don't torture people as a means of extracting information you torture for the "good times"

All of the people complaining are just lefty liberals trying to look cool and gain political points - annoying because I agree with them, but GTA isn't the thing you should be complaining about, the US Government is.
