For the people saying it's not a cop simulator: no sh*t. It doesn't have to be a cop SIMULATOR. All I want is a mode where you can do things as a cop, sort of like the vigilante missions and what not. Does that mean you have to play it? No. There are a ton of people that enjoyed it though. I've always been fascinated by police in games and it would be fun to play on the right side of the law sometimes.

Missions are crazy with several modes, such as Cops and Crooks mode (CnC mode), which supports up to 32 players.
Cop modes are interesting as there are several side missions, such as checking license plates with a police scanner and making arrests for stolen vehicles.

I really can't see it being a serious punishment.
Think RDR - people shot each other off horses all the time.

If I had a dime for every GTA fanboy that contributed nothing valuble to a thread I'd have made more than rockstar on the first day of sales already. You can say people are whining all you want, but a lot of them are actually giving examples of how they think the game could be made better. Not anything outlandish, just basic stuff that you would expect and this is all you all have to say every time..... Like you said to the OP. STFU if you dont like it dont respond. Back at ya, dickhead.

The game is great but they really took a lot of the GTA sandbox out of GTA V.

I mean that's the whole idea of a sandbox yeah? Give you all the tools and let you play? A series with the history of GTA should have a mammoth array of things to do at this point, but for everything they have given us, they have taken stuff away.

I haven't completed the game yet, but things I would like returning...

Ambulance Missions, Vigilante Missions, Fire Truck Missions, Proper Rampages (hidden package types), RC Missions, Sports Arenas you could take part in special events (track racing), Motorbike Assault Courses (Vice City style), MUCH more interiors like Shopping Malls, Cluckin' Bell and Burger Shot, Hot Dog Vendors you can actually interact with, Random Parked Vans with special event missions, Auto Car Retrieval Missions (where they just give you a picture of a car and you have to find it), Territory Warfare (Gang or otherwise), Driving Trains, Basketball....I could probably go on.

Instead we get Casinos and racetracks and arenas which you cant enter, or nothing to do. Because they have sold us a MP game with a feature stripped SP game around it.

Again, dont get me wrong, Im enjoying it, I think they have done great strides with the missions, which are MUCH better than IV's, and a far more interesting narrative with the 3 characters.

It's just I spend most of my time in free roam thinking "I wish I could do this...."

Sorry sir, legitimate criticism is not aloud, your officially a whiner and should stop playing, go play saints row or COD.... lol

Agreed with everything you said. I think they intentionally stripped SP to draw people into GTAO

I'm just annoyed there is no turf wars, can't roll with a gang, can't plan my own heists, can't dance, can't rob houses, can't do drug deals in the city...But we can do yoga & triathlons...This is GTA! Not Zumba!

Exactly! this game is amazing in so many ways but replay value, the hallmark of GTA games, just isn't there. Its a new backdrop to do the same stuff I got bored of in GTA IV and so much of the stuff they've added is completely worthless because they implemented it in a dumb way:

Why bother modding cars when there's no reliable way to save them other than leave them in the garage collecting dust? Even the impound, a very good idea, is so unreliable it's worthless.

Why buy clothes when the character just changes and never changes into the clothes you bought?

Why play online when it's operated like a free to play/pay to win?

Why buy properties when the return is so low and there's no way to improve it?

Why worry about money at all when there's nothing worth spending it on? The stock market is very innovative and maybe the only good way to make money in the game but why bother? Guns and hangars seem to be the only things worth buying and I don't see myself still playing this by the time I've run out of money from the last heist.

It's like they got all of the mechanics together but never bothered to balance or fine tune any of them to make them worthwhile. The whole Social Club fiasco is the embodiment of what's wrong with GTA V. Now I have an app on my phone buzzing, distracting me every hour or so with a message telling me to clean up virtual dog poop in the lamest iphone game I've ever played.

ROCKSTAR! Forget about social club! it sucks at a niche half a dozen other services already do well. Focus on the games themselves and sort out the mechanics. San Andreas was a vastly superior game.

Rockstar, seriously, is missing a lot of things in GTA 5.
The game is great, i completed their campaign. I'm at 88.5%.

We can not go to the gym, learn new martial arts.
Explain the usefulness of putting a ramp and could not use it there?.

Where is the f*cking "Vigiliante Mission"? That was awesome!  was just killing (What was bad) but always liked playing as cop.
Think about it.

Why can not we get fat and lose weight?

Why the hell my character is changing the f*cking clothes?!

Why can not rob clothing stores? Only 24/7?

I do not remember if you like riding gangs.

The vehicle damage is ridiculous!

Come on, Rockstar Games.

What do you think is missing, guys?

Sorry my bad english.
Have a Nice Day!

1. That's like saying, "Rockstar, why can't we have computers that can play World of Warcraft!" such a completely random request, to learn martial arts, even when there isn't even a gym.

2. When the PC version comes out, expect LCPDFR to become LSPDFR

3. Because who cares

4. Because they aren't bums. Including Trevor

5. I agree with you on that one, but atleast you can rob something.

6. What

7. Larger map, vehicle customization, higher vehicle density, MORE vehicles, bumpers and fenders falling off, all of the many reasons as to why damage was taken down a notch, you want to have your cake and eat it too I'm assuming?

I have been silent just reading all of the silly sh*t people post complaining about the game. Honestly, if you don't like the game that's cool. it's your freedom to not like things. But what I do not get is why even discuss it? Your mind is set an nobody here is going to sway you to like the game, be honest. So the only reasoning behind threads like this is pointless bitching and attention whoring.

Since this is a forum and it's for discussion it would make sense if the OP's actually would take in other opinions into consideration but that isn't happening. It's just them laying out all of their complaints then any time anyone tries to counter their points they either dismiss or argue by saying the exact same things over again, It's some of the most selfish sh*t I've seen on these forums and that's why I barely come around anymore.

Not only are some of these complaints ridiculous but the people complaining seem to be ignorant of exactly how ignorant they are acting. Half the time it's bitching about the physics, which are improved vastly in my opinion. Then it's about how there's nothing to do, which just isn't true, there just isn't anything for complainers to do because they think the activities are stupid. There's the people still stuck on San Andreas who just lament constantly about how this isn't an exact copy of that but modified to be better. There's people who complain about the story being short, which isn't true. It's around 30 hours (takes me a day and a half to complete only story missions.) 30 hours for a story mode is more than total gameplay time you get out of most games today, minus multiplayer. There are valid complaints like the lack of interior spaces despite the promise of the art director that more than 50% of the buildings had explorable interiors. There's much more to list but the jist of it is that a lot of people here led themselves to believe a lot of things about this game based on heresay and speculation and convinced themselves what they believed was fact and then became extremely disappointed when they found out all of the bullsh*t they believed to be in the game turned out to not be in, then, still convinced the things they heard were fact, they blamed Rockstar for lying.

The point of this being is these threads are f*cking useless being in a forum, a place to hold discussions, when the OP's aren't open to discussions about the stupid sh*t they say.

YES and they made South Central L.S. the smallest part of the city when in reality South Central takes up most the city. In San Andreas South Central took up most the city, why they make it so small this time. Plus, Why is South Central Soo Boring on there. No Action.

Exactly! It's like one lil hood on the map. I'm sick of seeing fa**ot hipsters & wannabe actors, I wanna see gangbangers geting into it on the streets, mexican gangs working on their cars on their driveways, random gang shootouts...Would be so much more to do if they focused a lil bit more on gangs & less on hollywood hipsters doing yoga & triathlons, this is GTA! Grand Theft Auto! Not Zumba! We want gang violence! Lmao

Hit the nail on the head, don't get me wrong it is a good game, the mechanics are all spot on, but they jujst focused on the wrong things.

If they made the exact same game as San Andreas but with these graphics & physics, I would enjoy it more.

I didn't pay £40 for a yoga & triathlon simulator!

I know a lot of you get annoyed with our feedback but this is a forum, this is what forus are for. Don't like it? Don't read the thread.

The reason we post what we post is in the hopes that R* listen to our feedback & improve the game. Even if it comes in the form of DLC...

And yes I know we haven't got online yet so we can't really judge but I've heard they're introducing a pay for cash feature which is a dumb move for R*.

And anyways I wanna be able to do more stuff offline too, not just online.

My main disappointment is the lack of heists and locations you can rob, for example I would like to rob big banks etc.

why not add more heists or make that type of gameplay more available like vigilante for single player .....

please don't tell me the GTA franchise is about yoga , triathlon and tennis

Reminds me of everything popular nowadays, gets watered down to cater to the mass audience and lose its identity ...

If you was to ask any Real GTA fan do they want that sh^t in the game at the loss of "past" features I doubt it - crazy ass choice -  Yoga and scuba diving I mean come on -

And for those saying R* added things lol - everything was ported from old R* games and they diluted those features - max payne /  RDR - R*  was poor on this one.  no ability to tie people up or hostages when heists are the big thing....   massive wilderness but no horses for transport ...

most driving mini games have been lost - dating was replaced with yoga

It is very frustrating I know, I've been saying this too, but I think we just gotta focus on the good points of the game for now & hope the online is all it's cracked up to be...32 player cops n crooks does sound good though...

Losing some of these sidequests is indeed a tragedy. This game should be alive for as long as possible, and things like random encounters are great and push into that. But removing sidequests is not a move in the right direction.

People complaining about new stuff isn´t getting the point either. Triathlon, golf, tennis, yoga... as long as they´re fun and balanced (triathlon needs a lot of tweaks to be decent) they´re welcome. But just DON´T take out other stuff.

I think a lot of complaints are valid I mean I got this assuming R* had included GTAIV stuff and added a bunch of stuff to improve the playability in the long term. I see most would have finished a lot of the stuff by now if they got it day one, me alone I have got nearly 80%. I feel like they stripped a lot of stuff that could of been easily included to give people more stuff to have fun with. Look at Just Cause 2 a grappling hook and awesome mayhem equals 100s of hours of chaos. Saints Row not realistic by a long shot but there is infinite fun in those games and lots of stuff to laugh at. I think R* threw most of the effort into things that would generate more profit for them such as GTA Online which seems to have a lot of trivial stuff that would make more sense in SP like the bigger garage (So what you are default punished if you prefer SP?) and customization of police vehicles. SP Heists alone like bigger versions of what Payday 2 has would be awesome I mean if you can design 700 missions online why not put some of that towards SP?

This is what people don't understand, the reason there are complaints.

It's because we were all expecting GTA IV + a load more, not replacing a lot of the fun stuff from IV with meaningless trivial stuff...But lets face it, once you complete the game, the majority of your time on it is then spent online with your buddies is it not?

I mean, I get bored of single player on any GTA, the online on GTA IV (especially lost & damned) was where the biggest replay value was at for me & probably a lot of others...So I think they're doing right to focus on the online...But I hope that pay to win rumour stays as a rumour.

what limits? why cant this game do things the pervious versions can?

why should anyone listen to pinkkiepie pitching that online story when they completely mislead us on the single player mode?

even saints row was better than this. all the cut scenes had your character wearing the customs you applied and saved your custom cars.

feel free to drop tennis, yoga, scuba, bong hits, wild animals, tri-athelons, pay to win cash cards and all the other stuff R thinks is so much fun and bring back fitness, custom options, robbing stores, car damage and getting more than $16 when you kill a prostitute...I know she had more money than that when I just handed it to her.

ut lets face it, once you complete the game, the majority of your time on it is then spent online with your buddies is it not?

It is not.  I played GTA IV online maybe 5 times.  Each time, it was filled with a bunch of racist, screaming douchebag teenagers and at least one modder who ruined it for everyone else.  The bulk of my time with IV was spent setting up crazy stunts and going on rampages for as long as possible.  Part of the appeal of doing a rampage is that you don't have to do them against someone who can take 67 shots to the face before dying, and not having to worry about some asshole kid with a chip on his shoulder and not enough parental supervision killing me every ten seconds.  f*ck online.  The fact that this game is putting more focus into that than single player is an unbelievable let-down.  Especially for a game like this, that, historically, has been such a GREAT single player experience.  I'm not even done with the story and I'm bored with it.  When IV came out, you couldn't PRY me away from that game.  With this...not so much.

I hear what you are saying, previous games had this, and it was features like this that made it awesome with tons to do.  by comparison this game has a larger map and more areas to explore but much less things to do there, seems very unfinished to me.  Lots of bugs and lots of missing features that players of previous gta games have come to expect.  I reckon a lot will be added in the online version, but this single player version sucks a fat one and there is not much to do after the story is over, unlike previous games where you kept playing for months and never got bored.  im bored already and its not even been a week, lol!  Rockstar failed hard, I only hope that the online part is friggin sweet and makes up for this poor lame ass unfinished buggy single player version.  I did like the story missions, they were fun, but didnt last very long.

You can plan your own Heists in GTA Online though :)

Here is their heist-plan

The removal of cop missions will just spawn LSPDFR (GTA cop simulator mod; see LCPDFR on GTAmissions YouTube channel) when the PC version comes out.
