I just realized this, because I assumed the game would only respawn the default cars.

Nice to know. Gonna give Franklin's car a paintjob then, and replace those stupid dollar rims on Michael's car.

I modded Trevor's truck as soon as I got him and it reset to stock when

I tuned Michael's Premier until the Merryweather Heist where it turned back to default.

Is there a way to change these cars? Or are we stuck with these models as the defaults for the characters?
That is how it should be... But yeah the whole saving vehicles thing is a total mess at the moment.

Once they are there, they will reaslize they can pay for money instead of earning it.
Rockstar: "All I see is $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $"

The ONLY reason so many features were left out of Single Player, is because Rockstar wanted people to have as much incentive as possible to play Online.

I don't mind the whole paying for in game money thing, as I simply won't be doing so, but it does really piss me off that they've left so many things out of single player. I'm a single player kind of guy.

Turn off the Autosave feature. This helps alot !
I've been messing up with the autosave feature in the beginning too.
Usually after I do some missions I save, and then fool around a bit before turning off my ps3. Often, during my fooling around the game autosaves and next time I start up, it loads the auto save without me remembering to load my save. The one tell tale sign for me is that all my sticky bombs are gone.

Odd. That did not happen to me. I got engine and turbo upgrades pretty much as soon as I unlocked Trevor, and these were still there when I took the car for an upgrade in LSI modded Trevor's truck as soon as I got him and it reset to stock when
Spoiler.

Um... okay like we didn't know this? I've had Michael's Tailgater blue with a tint for the longest time and it never went back to it's original state.

Franklin's Buffalo defaulted to standard once the final mission was completed for some reason, seems to be random, haven't had the problem with anyone else's cars though.
