What do you think how many Protagonists should be there in the Next GTA??

i think one protagonist is great because we get emotionally involved with him.

I'd like to play as the protagonist and the antagonist. I think it would be fun to play as say a corrupt cop as the 2nd character.

Should be interesting. Multiple protags is the greatest thing ever. I'm hoping we get another 3, or 4. I personally wouldn't like to only have 2.

3 is enough in my opinon. The story would have to be otherwise even more rushed. And corrupt/undercover cop was in like 1032324 games already.

I'm actually hoping they dial it back down to 2. Maybe a tale between 2 brothers or something cliche like that lol. Hope they don't do more than 3 though, will lose track of the plot I think.

2, Male and Female.

Bonnie and Clyde style, not a bad idea.

3 at most, but 2 at least.

Oh yeah, I've been wondering about this too. We'll see if 3 protagonists ended up just being a gimmick or the standard for more games to come.

I love the 3 character switching in V but it can be improved. It's quite slow and Rockstar did a good job of masking this using the google earth transition and then the little cutscenes. I know there is a limitation because of HD speed and other factors.

Next gen will, I assume, make use of SATAIII connections so that the system can fully utilise SSD's. PS3/360 can use SSD's but they are only a couple seconds faster than a 7200rpm HD because of the old SATA connectors. So, if there is multiple characters in the next GTA game it will hopefully be much faster.

That being said, I don't think we'll see 3 characters again. Well, we might but I'm guessing there will only be 2 in GTA VI. That's just my thoughts. Anymore than 3 seems a bit too much and maybe they'll cut back on characters in order to speed more time on some other aspect of the game.

Given how rockstar handled 3 different characters in one game, i'd suggest they reduce it to 2 protagonists max. more protagonists means less time to build up character development.

That or make the game insanely long, but the main storyline could suffer if they did that. Making a game too long isn't good either.

I have not yet beat V but I wouldn't mind 3 again so far.  It's just right imo.  Next time it should have a female character.  Maybe a female corrupt cop?

...Or Hansel and Gretel! ...I agree two characters with different gender should be what R* should aim for in the next GTA game! Female character doesn't have to be soft and fluffy, they could make tough chick with the punky mohawk, biker cloths, muscle/athletic built, with lots of tattoos (by default!), which you'll be able to further customize for her and maybe lesbian personality! That would 100% work for GTA! R* just has to get it right! And the male character should be hooligan too, just like his female counterpart, but more flamboyant and cocky! The game should be set in 80's again (but not in Vice City...but some place else!), that would represent punk culture best (punks were very popular and dangerous back in 80's people actually were sh*tting bricks roaming dark streets!...)...So why not?

I think two would be good. While I'm not suggesting a cop themed GTA (as that would be stupid) I'd like to see a relationship similar to Jake (Ethan Hawke) and Alonso (Denzel Washingston) from Training Day.

Actually I've been hoping R* would do a young white man and/or an older black man for a while.

idk why everyone seems to have a hard on over a female Protagonist its a horrible idea u just know she will be some bad bitch with attitude who will be incredibly annoying. and after thinking about it  i would either want 2 or 3 again but they don't know each other and its done in   episodes  from liberty city and pulp fiction style   with their lives  Interconnecting with each other.

I think three characters works just fine:

-a female undercover FIB agent that goes a bit too deep

-an average joe that somehow gets turned into a life of crime (all other protags were already seasoned criminals at the start)

-a head of a gang or mafia family that has a huge temper

the woman would be a guns expert, the average joe would be a car expert, having worked on cars in the past and the gang head has the power of his gang (or mafia family) to use.

would be nice

I wouldn't mind seeing one protagonist again, or 2 at the most, if it meant having a longer and better story (not that V's was bad, but I didn't feel it was as good as IV's).

Hopefully just one. Having three separate stories on the go at the same time was way too messy.

23. Seriously number of the protags isn't as important as the story. 3 is maximum, but as long as the story is good I don't care if I get one or two of them.
