In the GTA Online trailer, at 1:11 there was a bank being robbed, however it wasn't even in singleplayer. WTF?

Yeah about that... that goes to show how much they're putting into GTAO... Thats dissapointing. :(

Use other methods, like the stock market, and properties.

They better open Burger Shot and Cluck In Bell in GTA Online

You really want to watch a ten second animation of yourself eating a burger?

Typical Cockstar fanboi response.

How about the level immersion by driving past and seeing people eating and ordering food inside? Or a drive thru? Able to order combos and such through the drive thru? Driving by the pickup window and lobbing out a grenade or tear gas. Or going inside to rob them, or hold yourself up, take hostages and wait for the police and fend them off? There's plenty of things to do inside interiors besides just looking "oh pretty" or  eating a virtual burger. But its clearly Rockstar and you have the same amount of imagination. Typical.

if you go on and register on the R* website it shows exactly how far you are and what you haven't done yet. It even has maps for the random encounters ect. There's still a lot left even at 100%.

They're trying to force everyone into multiplayer. They don't seem to care about GTA especially since they cut a whole wall of weapons for DLC and released a game with major bugs.

yea thats probably why they lmiited single player. Lack of itneriors etc so they can milk you through DLCs. notice how they even have a playstation store tab in the menu, obviously for future DLC.... f*ck this... Gamespot was correct giving gta v a 9/10 aka one of the lowest for a GTA game.

go to the docks bottom left corner there is a dingy boat with scuba gear free of charge but there is only 1 for each player so once you use it, it wont respawn

While playing through the game it did seem that R* was keeping certain aspects back to be used in GTA: Online. It still is a incredible game though.

Lol lester is that guy to go to...

I think thre should be a tier system.it wouldnt make sense to get complex high value heists wen your crew stats are low and you never hit any decent heists.

I.e big 50 100 mill jobs should only come 100 missions in etc

What irks me is that the basis of this game revolves around making big heists with your crew, they even said we can make our heists, that is what i really wanted to do in this game, aside from story mode, and even if you re do the heists you do not keep the money...that is really fked up.

Hardly any side quests? Are you f*cking crazy?

I really think you missed a lot of sh*t out because you rushed it.

I've been on this game 15 hours a day for three days cause I've been off work and I'm only like 60% done.

It's when you rush it, like you have, driving straight from mission to mission, that you miss things, opportunities, random events that lead places and to new characters.

I've never heard anything so stupid said on this forum than there are hardly any side quests you're a f*cking moron.

Shut up you have played 45 hours and you're at 60% ?

I've only played 20 hours and Im at 71% of the game .

DUDE YOU SUCK.

Why  would anyone rob a bank after robbing the biggest bank in the World and getting 20m from it?

I thought we would have more control over the heists in general but overall I was happy with them. I just wish we can have a heist side mission. It makes no sense why we don't. I really don't want this series turning into an MMO.

Just be satisfied damn. There are a huge number of things to do in GTA 5. Just because you haven't discovered them yet doesn't mean they don't exist... Stop making heists a big deal. If you want to do heists all day than get Pay Day 2. Rockstar didn't rip you off, YOU ripped yourself off.

Edit: Only in GTAO trailers do they mention doing your own heists & the 500+ missions.. PAY ATTENTION

They were probably referring to online in regards to a lot of features.

They were speaking from a singular point of view, that is one person. Your online persona

They announced alot on this and i beat the game and wanted to continue hitting more banks but as it turns out you CAN'T, how am i supposed to buy that 150million property? There is nothing to do once you hit 100%, and i love story mode so don't tell me to wait till GTA V online because is completly different.
Honestly i really wanted to create my own heists, even when i replay the bank jobs you don't keep the money...this game is incredible yet so many things are missing that would make it even better...
-No scuba gear(unless you buy that property, get on the sub, go underwater and leave)
-Hardly any side quests for sucha massive beautiful world.
-Getting money is an annoyence because you lose more then you earn...
-Stocks are broken.
-and much more.
I love this game guys but i honestly feel like these things should of been added!

I was expecting to be able to, what's the point having heist members gain xp if you only use them a few times.

Being able to plan your own heists would have made the game far more playable after the story is complete.

If you had left the Lester missions till last then you could have invested 20+ million into stocks and made a few hundred million.

Definitely the dumbest thing about the game. That's been in the game since 3, I think. At least SA, anyway.

Rockstar didn't falsify sh*t, these are just peoples grandiose expectations; a little wisdom; Don't believe the hype.  The games miles better than I expected in every possible way, its a huge improvement on the rage engine and everything else, the content is Mindblowing especially going between singleplayer and multiplayer.  Any bethesda game is a different kind of layout, the 10 000 side quests you pursue are just fetch quests with re skins etc.  Almost everything you do is relative to a single kind of generatiing quest, its cool in a different way but it is not the Same.

Also a lot of the content isn't in gta online yet, including planned heists, its all coming for free though, some people seem to think you need pricey apartments, but there was a free dlc statement that mentioned New beach vehicles for online and I haven't seen anything to indicate that group of content(s) yet. I may be wrong though but I haven't seen or heard a single case of confirmed heists yet online.

I don't think this game was mis-sold. I have some memory of an interview of  an article stating that the story and characters are more based on heists than before in GTA. They said there were around 4 to 5 heists in the game and that lots of the missions would be the planning and leading up to these. I don't have a link to this right now, but  I remember reading it a few months ago. That sounds like what we got.

How would planning your own free-roam heist work?

Do we go to Lester or someone else and he gives us certain options in which case there would always be a finite number of heist missions and not really free-roam.

Are there loads of available interiors (banks, museums, casinos, jewellery stores, car show rooms) or travelling secure vehicles (trains, planes, vans) which have valuables hidden somewhere inside and we have to work out the best way to get the valuables out?

Do we locate plans of buildings on-line in the game in order to see where the valuables might be and scope them out to devise our own plan of attack?

Are there various ways of completing each heist (stealthy, heavily armed, distraction)?

This is a serious question I'm interested in seeing a discussion about and may have missed. How much assistance, structure and advice does the player need for a heist to work. When does it stop being a free-roam choice and become just more scripted side missions?

I worry for it to work as a free-roam element available at the games release they would have had to simplify heists to the point of - see bank while walking, look up plans on internet, collect other people (with the phone "hang out" option). Make sure have enough weapons and ammo, all stroll into bank pointing guns at people, run out with cash and escape police.

I'm sure more could be added such as cutting power lines or communications, but I do feel that heists were served well in the single player story and would now work better as a group activity which can be regularly updated. I say this as someone not normally into anything multiplayer.
