So I'm building a new PC soon and I have a budget of about 650$ - I already have a hard drive and a disk drive I can use from my old PC. Is this setup good enough for playing latest games at 60fps? My resolution is 1440x900. I also want to play GTA V if it comes out on PC.

Don't get the FX-81xx series, they're crap. The newer FX-83xx processors are much better for the price. Power supply is absurdly overpowered, you'd be much better off with a cheaper but more efficient 500w unit from the likes of Corsair, Seasonic ect. That GPU is wasted on resolutions below 1080p so a monitor upgrade is practically a necessity. The amount you'd save by sticking with OEM cooling and a cheaper, less powerful PSU would probably be enough for a cheaper-end 1080p 22/24" monitor.

Is this going to be a better PSU: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16817139027 and is the AMD FX 8350 good enough? I will be getting a 1080p monitor later, but first I want to get a new computer as my current one is broken and it's just not worth repairing it as its 6 years old. I'm tired of using my laptop.

I wouldn't bother with FX at all; I'd get i5 instead. Are you going to overclock the CPU?

I don't know yet but I doubt it as I'm not good with that kind of stuff and I don't want to break anything.

Thanks - that looks like a good setup. I'll be building that then.
