Here is the problem. Some people don't like playing online. Which is fine and understandable. But here is the fact. R* has pushed this game to it's limts. For them to make up for it. Alot of this stuff that ain't avaible offline is going be able to be done online because the servers will allow R* to do so much more stuff. Like opening more buildings for people to walk into and add more maps to the online part later on next year and so on. So just chill out already. Smh!!
People have to STOP believing this b*llsh*t. The servers will NOT magically open up interiors or expand the map. If the SP game is limited, the online part will be limited too. The server is there to handle the multiplayer part of the game (sync the entities etc. and other stuff like sync mission objectives), everything that is available in Online could easily be available in SP (except for stuff that requires multiple players, they would have to create AI for the other player spots).
The server does NOT render the map for you.
And about the "new maps for online" part, I highly doubt that. They probably meant releasing a standalone GTA Online experience or bundle it with another GTA sequel. The only location I could see being added is North Yankton as a small explorable map. A lot of the 360 userbase don't even have a HDD to store the additional GBs worth of game data required for a new map/location to be added. The only way I see them adding a fully new location is if they do it for the next gen consoles or PC.
