Hey.

Just a quick question. How do you take photos? There doesn't seem to be a "camera" option like in GTA IV.

Yeah Snapomatic, but when I click on it there's always an error?

Instead of saving to your HDD, pictures are saved to your Social Club account on Rockstar's servers. But they've been having issues since release with too much traffic. I hope they expand the amount of servers or something soon. Or patch it so photos save to your HDD and are synced online later. It's a pain losing good shots because you can only connect to them once in a blue moon.

The same happens to me! Sometimes I can take pictures, but I can't save them.

I hope Rockstar fixes this soon.

I hope so too. I had sexy shots in Blaine County and I couldn't save them.

Pff yes indeed. Now I have to be a member of the social club to safe photo's. Good tactic to get more members but it sucks ass.

Snapmatic is the camera and you need to be signed up with Social Club. It's been going real slow and bringing up errors (what do you expect after release). It'll work soon.

Wow, you're complaining? it's free to sign up. Plus you get to check all your stats and stuff which is cool.

Yes this is the only thing that dissapoints me about the game! I know it may sound very petty to a lot of players, but when you think about how gorgeous the huge world of Los Santos is, and there is so many different cool things to take shots of, the snapomatic feature is really cool!  The graphics are so great that at certain times of the day, they look photo realistic! Especially the ocean when your driving a speed boat and you're around 200 hundred metres of shore, the mountain ranges and the shoreline like incredible!

Anyway back to the issue, and that is the fact that Rockstar Games had sold 18 million copies of the game within the first 24 hours, if you were to say at least half of the people that purchased the game were to use the snapomatic camera and to take around 20 photos for example,  that's 9 million x 20 photos which equals 180 million photos.  I wonder why the server has continued to crash since they had it up and running!   Why don't they allow GTA V gamers to save their snapomatic photos to their own Xbox drives and they can choose to upload their photos to the server, and Rockstar Games can put a limit of say 20 photos per gamer to upload at once!    This is what Turn 10 did with Forza 4!

Agree, they should make it so it saves locally then to their servers, so many times I have gone to take some pictures and I get an error about not being able to connect :(

I find it working well between 8-16 UK time, pic gets uploaded within 5 seconds. Between 16-20 UK, it gives sometimes error, but mostly works. After 20 UK, it's impossible to load pics, americans wake up then and as thats where most of the games originate, their server overloads, and you lose many good shots. :(
