I tried it both before triggering cutscene and after it fails either way

North Yankton Map far too detailed...?

So... just tried exploring North Yanktown.
"Mission failed".
Can't explore it ;/
That was a sad moment for me. I saw the nice little town center, wanted to take a little detour and explore, but all the sudden "mission failed" appeared. That was a genuine rage moment!

That island to the west of Del Perro, I forgot w/c previews it was from.
That's not the real map. It's an artist's conception made by a user on here when trying to piece out the actual blue print map. (I have to admit they did a very great job guessing San Andreas too.)

There are two missions. What do you want them to create COD corridor for them?
Dude. This is serious matter. Rockstar is just being plain evil.

Notice how the roads end, that was just to give it some horizon, if you tried to explore it, you'd probably fall through the ground as soon as you reached one of the edges.

That map is not that explorable you get failed mission if you stray. In second mission you can explore a little more but you clearly see runs go just end and the town is not very detailed if you look closely.

Has anyone tried not to take this road of the mission, but to go offroad and visit these other parts of North Yankton?
Yes, you can... there is an alien frozen in the lake ... Easter egg.
Not so sure I buy into that at all/ I tried to go off course and it caused me to fail the mission within seconds.
