super slim with a 120gb corsair force 3 vs slim 160gb stock.

both systems are new, on newly formated and empty partitions, running the digital version of the game.

Because there are some games on the PS3 that put it to actual use such as Gran Turismo 5, and by the looks of it, Grand Theft Auto V uses it pretty well to.

OP, how about the initial load?

Well, the first start of the game (meaning before north yankton) was almost a tie, but later on, from xmb to ingame, ssd beat the hdd twofold.

I have also noticed higher framerates.. I don't know how to measure the fps on a ps3, but it really feels like a substancial improvement.

I said right click when I should have said left click. I hope he was able to figure it out.

Thanks for this video man. I had already ordered the SSD a few weeks ago, still waiting on the game, but this reaffirmed that I made a wise choice. I will get more playing time, over the long run, if nothing else.

Thank you for this, was curious how much benefit it would be as well, I have two SSD's in my PC and can spare one for the PS3, one is OCZ SSD Vertex4 128 GB and the other is a KINGSTON SSDNOW V +200 120GB, the OCZ has better transfer speeds with uncompressed data and the Kingston with compressed data, so I'm assuming the OCZ would be better in the PS3?

Well in the end I used the OCZ Vertex4 128GB SSD and would agree it makes a significant difference, I have the DVD version of the game but had noticed pop-in worse than the 360 version, I also noticed the map was slower to load, since using the SSD I haven't noticed any pop-in, the map loads much quicker and the character switching is much, much quicker.

How about a blu ray disk to HDD comparison? That's far more practical
