Isn't it true that you have to complete the Hotel Assassination (the first assassination given to you by Lester) during the story to be able to continue progressing through the story? I've done all story missions up until The Merryweather Heist and following that mission, Trevor received a text from Franklin saying he has to do something for Lester first before they can do the Blitz Play heist, which I already had unlocked since I got all the items needed for that heist. Since the only mission that was available was from Lester and was the Hotel Assassination, I did that (being sure to invest all of each character's money into Betta beforehand since Betta's stock increases greatly following the assassination [the highest it got for me was 81.5% so I got a great profit from it]) and following the assassination, Franklin received a call from Michael saying that they're ready to do the Blitz Play heist, meaning that the Hotel Assassination was required to complete before being able to continue through the story. However, I see nothing on here nor online that says you can wait until finishing the story before doing ALL of the assassination missions. Can anyone confirm that you have to do the Hotel Assassination at this point in the story to be able to continue through the story? Or can I actually wait until completing the story before doing it and the other assassinations that follow it?

You do have to do the Hotel Assassination along with the two FIB missions, up until the one where you rappel into the building to get the detainee, can't recall his name at the moment. But then Trevor and Franklin officially meet, even if you have already done other missions. This unlocks the "Merryweather Heist" and "Urban Safari." Which I did not know beforehand, so I was in the same boat with you having the third heist available before even completing the second heist. Doing the aforementioned along with a Tonya missionn resolved the issue for me though. Hope this helps.

Thanks, it's good to get some confirmation that you have to do the Hotel Assassination during the story to be able to continue progressing through the story since all I've heard so far is to wait until finishing the story to do ALL of the assassination missions, even though that wouldn't be possible under these circumstances since the Hotel Assassination is required to do during the story. Thanks for the help.

An update for those still trying to find ways to make some SP cash (from my post on page 16). After investing ~48M in Bilkinton at $3.48 I left my game on unpaused overnight and woke up to this return effectively doubling my money.

I wanted to show this for the people interested in SP trading and especially the players who missed the opportunity of saving some if Lesters missions until after the big heist like me.  My bank is now 96,409,330 nice.

This isn't anything special, and anyone can do it, but I just wanted to show you guys that it works, and works even better if you're able to foster patience long enough to track your stocks down to their in game actual high and low prices; (what the game represents is mostly historical and may not be anywhere near relevant to the time period that your trading in now and can be very misleading).

This trade is a result of tracking BIL for some while. I found that in my game it doesn't drop below $3.46 and I haven't seen it higher than $7.17 so at $3.48 I jumped on it. Also, to reinforce, I left my game on overnight so I don't know how many in-game days passed for it to get this high, etc.

I had similar results with FlyUS. I bought at 147 and left it alone. After 8 hours or so I had a nice 10% profit. 1 billion invested so it was quite lucrative. However you really should be paying attention to bawsdaq right now. All my characters are maxed out at 2.1 billion thanks to pisswasser and HawkandLittle.

You're right, I haven't been paying as much attention to that as I should, party because my money would never move when I invested. I should start getting up to speed on it since Oct 1 is right around the corner

Has anyone else been dumping their Ammunation stock in the last 24 hours?

I view this as a "safe" investment.  If the BAWSAQ works the way I think it does (using Social Club stats and player interaction) Ammunation should be relatively safe.  But in the past day or so, the share price has dropped like a rock.  Seeing as how there is no "in-game" reason for this (like a new gun control law passing, news that the CEO is a molester, etc.), I can only conclude that once people start selling off shares in a company, the share price drops like a rock, in this case a 50+ point drop in less than 24 hours.  This is my theory.

So I'm just wondering if a lot of people invested in Ammunation saw the share price drop and decided to get rid of their stocks as well.  A massive sell-off might cause the price to plummet.

Just as an aside, I bought hundreds of thousands of Hawk and Little shares when it was around $1.10 per share.  I've almost quintupled my money on that in just a few days.  I also see that Piswasser has stopped freefalling and is now dirt cheap but climbing.  Thinking about investing in them for a short term payoff.

Anyway, if anyone else has been dumping Ammunation, please post how much stock you've been selling off and if you've noticed the same thing.  If you have another theory, I might like to hear that as well.

I have seen Ammunation going down, but did not sell yet.

However HAL (Bawsaq) has been going up for more than a week. Great investment.

Something tells me if you invest in Ammu-Nation now, by the way it's at currently 369.58 on BAWSAQ. It was at like $700 the other day. This could be a sign that R* drop this down to have you buy shares this low and make money when GTAO launches and everybody is buying weapons and such raise the stock price and sell it when it's really high. I thinking picking the right stocks to invest now on before tomorrows launch of GTAO will be profitable. So yeah not sure if this is anything new but yeah.

I bought 10 million worth of shares in Ammu-Nation yesterday at about 415 per share. I've lost quite a bit of money so far but am I correct in assuming a huge spike in the next few days considering the games release in Asia?

I've been experiencing with LCN and Los Santos Vs Worldwide radio stations.

After a week of switching to Worldwide every time I'd get into a vehicle, the stock has increased from about $27 to $35.08, while LS radio dropped from about $195 to $187. The rise in the Worldwide stock has been pretty constant, so I guess that you can influence the LCN stock market that way -- at least. Haven't tried blowing up antennas yet, but that may affect it even further. Will see.

PS: I had to mute the game after about 3 days, tired of listening to the same old songs lol.

I'm not so sure it will, to be honest. Besides the occasional weapon that I had to buy for a couple of missions, I got all of mine from the streets. Maybe players who shoot at the range and pay the $14 will make the stock go up, but I wouldn't bet on a huge spike from weapon sales.

What about people stocking up on ammo?

I agree collecting guns off the street might be easier, especially since most purchases are rank-locked anyway, but in SP at least I always find myself buying ammo in bulk in any game like this. No reason not to as it's cheap and you dont lose any on death, and it's always better to have too much than not enough.

Ok, so it's not expensive, really, so no huge spikes, but given the sheer amount of people playing I'd still expect the stock to survive on that basis alone. Might end up being one of those slow n steady consistent earners.

Yeah you're right.

I did notice a considerable spike on Bawsaq regarding the other firearm manufacturer (forgot the name already) about two days ago, while AmmuNation went down. Can't tell you if it's still true as my Bawsaq is down, but there might be something there.

Just wanted to say that I missed doing the first couple assassination missions without investing money but then I caught on after reading these threads. So, I then followed the advice and, even while missing out on the first missions stock advice, still managed to score 300M each player.

So.. don't give up and depending on how far in you are, you don't need to restart the entire. game.

** Oh, and I think, think, Hawk and Little is a good "idle" stock for your money to just chill in while slowly gaining value. Anybody else have any "after-game" stock market advice? A place where money can just sit and slowly grow?

Starting over like me? Here are some helpful Trade tips I did in the beginning even before the jewel heist and made $43 million. FYI Im projecting $3 Billion plus. Second time I completed the game I was at 1.8 Billion

When Franklin makes about a few grand in the very beginning, I took that money and invested in Ponsonbys PON (BAWSAQ) (clothing company) I invested all he & Michael had. Went through the game and kept checking on the stock. Not sure exactly when but when I checked it at some point and saw a return of $43 million so I sold it quickly. So keep checking it because for me, the return was ridiculous but it may vary for you. At that point, invest at your own risk seeing as how this stock doesnt move up too much after peeking.

Also, I invested in AUG insurance & Mors Insurance since I will be destroying cars and killing people throughout the game so when I complete the game (third time). I should be sitting pretty and then move on to the Lester assassination missions. Last time I checked AUG was at a profit of $3 million and Mors was at about $2.5million.

Both AUG (BAWSAQ) & MOR (LCN) are very cheap in the beginning of the game between $30 & $60 a share but when you end the game AUG is at (for me) $567 a share and MOR was @ around 4 hundred something. If you had the millions from the beginning of the game as stated above you can invest about 5 million (I invested 10 million in each) each in AUG & MOR and your return at the end of the game should be in the very high. Then move on to the Lester missions to reach the billions. However, if you try and invest in them after the game and buy the shares when theyre already @ $500 a share your return will not be that much. Thats like buying a real life share in APPLE right now as opposed to when they first launcheddont expect too much.

After the Vangelico VAN(LCN) heist I invested in them. At the start of the game the share price is or around $120-$140 but once you rob them the stock goes down to about $70-$90 a share and takes time to go back up so Id invest and let it sit until you end the game because then the price jumps back to or around $120-$180 so depending on what return youre looking to gain put in or take out at will.

*Notes*

*Diversify your portfolio (I sometimes feel like an actual stock broker with this game) Keep multiple stocks in your portfolio it helps to generate higher returns. And it just looks good. Just make sure you pull out of those stocks that do nothing. And frequently check your stock as you could miss out on a HUGE return.

*I highly suggest you hold on to these stocks until you finish the game:

AUG augury insurance (BAWSAQ), MOR morsmutualinsurance (LCN), MAZ mazebank (LCN or BAWSAQ cant remember), Bilkington (after youve done the Lester mission and sold your betta pharmaceuticals stock), ANI animal ark. Ex. So if you invest in AUG @ $30 in the beginning and see that in the end its @ $500 your looking at a return of 600%. Imagine that return rate on multiple stocks? Hope it helps a little.

You could invest in a few stocks and try to generate money that way or you could wait to finish the game and make a billion using the blow site
