So, I know people are going to reply TL;DR. Well, if you post that, shove off. This is about GTA. It's related to how PSN is handling GTA 5, and how many people get the point of this.

We all know, like it or not, GTA is going to be a massive game. It's going to be huge, and many people are going to be trying to get on as soon as possible.. so.. wouldn't it make sense for the people who digitally bought it, to DOWNLOAD it at least, ahead of time so they'd be on the fair scale too.

No, apparently not to PSN. Now, I don't know if you ever tried downloading stuff when a huge game comes out. In short, it really sucks. The connection is slow, and it takes forever. Sometimes, PSN even crashes. So.. going off past mistakes, wouldn't it be a bit smarter to release it ahead of time, just for preloading? HELL NO. Let's just wait until PSN crashes like we always do, to work on it for three hours to fix it, delaying everyone.

It's ridiculous, and I think it's piss poor we have to wait. GTA 5 is going to be massive. The download is AT THE LEAST, going to be five hours, filled with how many people trying to download it at the same time. This is going to be a mess, and it could've somewhat been helped if we had a damn preload on PSN.

Makes total sense. Good job, Sony. Good job. Thinking with that right mind-set now.

Yeah, I already have tried. Should've been up for download already going off the time R* gave.

It's a damn shame when R* has a better idea on when to release a preloader than what Sony does.

..or you could buy it as physical copy, with those shiny round things people call disks.

Aren`t you a special snowflake, now?

I'm right there with you, the lack of continuity with their communication about it is the biggest slap in the face. Feels like in 4th grade again when I "won" a N64, but... Then didn't really.

Good customer service: If you make a mistake, you correct it. And not by one horribly cold "clarification". They should have worked out a deal together to make the fans happy.. The ones who are shelling out those hundreds of millions.

Hey, uh, smart ass.

You think I wouldn't jump on that offer? Go the smarter route, even save a few bucks? Or get the Collector's Edition which I really wanted? I've been posting for awhile now, that my blu-ray scanner in the PS3 sh*t out on me. For reasons unknown, since my PS3 has never, EVER had an issue, nor my discs.

And since I don't relatively feel like I need to repair it, since my family has their own PS3 I could use for disc-based games, I feel digital download is the only way for me to go, when I want to be in my own room playing the game. I won't bother my roomies then, either.

So I really don't have a choice on what I really want to get, unless I never want to play GTA V on my own PS3.

It is entirely your fault for using what you call a sub-par service. Not Sony`s for having said sub-par service. It is not Sony`s fault that you don`t want to fix your blu-ray, therefore your rant has no aim, other than being a rant for the sake of it.

You DO have choices. It is Sony`s fault that you don`t take them.

Most rants are for the sake of it. Your point?

It is my fault for using a sub-par service, however after being a long time supporter of said sub-par service, I will complain when sub-par service continously does something stupid. It's SONY's fault the blu-ray scanner crapped out on me, because I know damn well I wouldn't ruin my gear. That's something I've never done, and it never will be on me. If it was my fault, I'd fix it immeditaly.

I'm pointing out the stupidity of not releasing a preloader, and AT LEAST helping PSN not crash. It's stupid they haven't learned from other big releases.

So, if you have a problem with me pointing out stupidity of PSN, for the sake of it? Like you said, we all have our decisions.

You can easily click out of this thread.

That's a load of sh*t. It honestly is.

I'll still support Sony in some ways, but they need to learn. If you want the online server to be stable, THEN HELP IT BEFORE TIME.

I already purchased it via "day 1" digital. When I did I cancelled my physical preorder. Now I'm pissed.
