Basically, I have some videos that are really small dimension wise, only about 100x100, that I want to put on youtube. The problem is I know YT will just stretch them beyond recognition. Is there a way to embed these clips in just black space, basically surrounding them so they are still really small but at least don't get stretched when I go to upload them? Kinda like framing them.

Start a new 720p project in moviemaker. Import your video and scale it to 200%. Export that and you should be good to go.
