Whoever PLAYED GTA V,

what is driving really like?

Did you like GTA IV driving?

How does it compare to GTA IV driving?

How does the driving feel in the ps3/xbox360 controllers?

Is there good vibration feedback in the controllers with each road bump?

Can you drift?

I hated the gta 4 driving.

The driving for me in gta v was very loose but it gets better when you increase your skill.

Overall im not bothered by the driving

There is alot of vibration when you change the type of road you are on.

Fells good on xbox controller

Never tried drifting.

I only spent about 1 hour playing the game at my friends house so ill have to wait until the 18th when i get my copy to try drifting

GTA V driving is good. i am truly finding myself deeply in love with the level of detail rockstar has entailed in driving this time! VERY VERY GOOD.

I liked the driving on IV.

On V, you have more ''freedom'' controlling the vehicle.

On PS3, it feels very good.

The vibration will depend on the type of road you're in.

Please note that this is my opinion. :)

i dont know if someone felt weird the first time ridin a horse in RDR. is the same here, at first  it feels weird, i didnt like it at first, but after the first day i dominated the driving just like the ridng on RDR, the game in general feels like the pc version of gta vc with some physics mod or something like that.

I haven't played much yet but I have noticed the car likes to sway back and forth A LOT. That might get better once the characters driving ability (or my own) gets better. But its kind of annoying so far.

Driving is fantastic.

It is different from IV, but it's NOT that far off. People are freaking out about nothing. Especially when playing as Michael (haven't unlocked Trevor yet) since his driving stat starts out lower thank Franklin's. It's a nice balance between IV and arcadey games like Sleeping Dogs or Saints Row.

Imo the handling is a lil more arcade then gta IV. It's between gta IV and nfs.

-Driving is smooth, a good compromise between GTA IV and MCLA/Burnout Paradise
-I liked IV driving A LOT, but i'm fine with V driving
-Hard to tell, the feeling is somehow similar but the cars really stick to the ground now, stearing is a lot different.
The stearing makes it feel more like MCLA than GTA IV. The driving feels really lighter but is very precise. can't really tell if better or worse than IV, it is a lot different.
- It feels really good, like a driving game, this is wa more responsive than GTA IV.
- Can't really tell atm
- yes

do you not realize that MCLA/Burnout Paradise f*ckING suck. So here we have it: confirmation the driving is arcade piece of sh*t.

key points you made:

Similar to burnout paradise/MCLA

Cars feel lighter than GTA IV, so in other words unrealistic weight distribution

Cars stick to the ground and turn more like MCLA/burnout paradise, in other words, unrealistic steering.

IT IS CONFIRMED IT SUCKS!

Give it a try before talking.

I was SO MAD at R* for changing the handling, because i liked GTA IV driving a lot, A LOT.

V driving is just DIFFERENT. NOT WORSE

It is way more precise
it is nothing like GTA IV at all, but it is for the better because you would'nt be able to drive properly in Los Santos with IV car physics.

I still love IV handling, but i will sure miss V handling if i get back to IV

It is somehow similar to MCLA/BP but GTA did not became an arcade racer.
This is similar because you're now able to slightly shift your car between trafic lines (that's the main feature shared with MCLA, everybody compares V to MCLA to give you a slight idea of what we're talkin about but there's only a few similarities, they just kept the better of IV and MCLA handling and mashed'em up together successfully ), and it does makes chases really intense.

Driving is still really smooth, it handles well. And you get pleasure driving most of the vehicules. It is one of the finest driving to date in the series.

In one word word? Amazing, seriously now I absolutely loved the handling and physics in IV.. But V? The graphics, the f*cking details the handling and how the cars feel are beautiful. You'll come to to understand this. Enjoy minions, you will go crazy.

Can anyone share opinions of Motorcycle handling too? Cus' it looks from some footage that they handle stiff, specially on the get go. Lacking a bit of weight distribution that made them fun in IV and of course suspension.

By the people who played it, feels much worse than IV and it's not fun anymore.

Having played it, I prefer V's over IV's. This isn't to say that IV's was bad, but it felt unnecessarily clunky and slow. (And no, realism!!!! is not an excuse. IV's physics were not realistic in the slightest.)

Got the game today and initially I really wasn't sure, I was twitching all over the place.  But now I'm somewhat used to it I quite like it - it's a tad more arcady than I'd like but it's vastly more fun than IV.

If I were to describe it, it feels a bit like a weird combination of GTA IV, Saints Row and PGR.
