Honestly I don't know what you all are expecting with pedestrians, we live in 2013.

Take a look outside your city, for the most part there aren't 100's of people walking around in the sidewalk.

Now although it's not meant to be completely realistic, there has to be some sort of line to draw between being too realistic and being too cartoonish.

LA is full of people

Not as much as you'd think. Most of LA has almost empty sidewalks, while other parts are very crowded.

The only places that would be well populated is in the tourist-ey areas.

Seen a few videos of when they were walking on the boardwalk and there was quite a bit of people.

Everyone just has such unrealistic expectations...

Exactly, that's all I needed.  Some people do understand this!

I know LA isn't packed with pedestrians like NY but in all the stuff I've seen, unless you're at the beach or board walk you can see maybe 5 pedestrians on the entire street.

Exactly this. I live near LA and Beverly Hills' Rodeo Drive and the Hollywood Strip are the most packed areas. Downtown LA doesn't have much pedestrians at all.

There are plenty of pedestrians. Between them and events there's a lot of life in the city. I just saw a livestream by the way with a random event featuring a certain GTA IV character. It was pretty kick ass.

I lived in Dallas for over a decade. Monday through thursday the only people on the streets were people who had to be there. The summer time is even less dense.

Its pretty much the same here in Oklahoma City. Downtown is is a ghost town after 5pm monday through wednesday.

Crybabies don't have anything to cry about so they find the most mundane thing they can and begin crying about it.

on the console versions the pedestrian numbers are probably being sacrificed to compensate for the vehicle numbers.

which from what I've seen, isn't impressive at all,  Still that old GTA IV feel of 20 Landstalkers on one street.

The video I saw there must have been a dozen BeeJayEX *whatever that Karin SUV is*, in the same block.

We are not talking about the sweltering, humid Southern cities that you are describing. We are talking about Hollywood and Los Angeles.

I, too, live in Southern California and have been to LA on numerous occasions. It's not as though every single street is crowded or so densely populated. Like anywhere, it varies, and perhaps the game will reflect that.

It's not as bad as what most people are making it out to be. A lot of the confusion and inconsistencies are probably coming from the fact that the game intentionally tones down the number of peds when you have a wanted level, and they are tied to time of day and location.

srry but, are you effin kidding me? just because its 2013 don't mean sh**! take a look at "my city"

http://www.youtube.c...y1aNID-YDt3xYaY

any city with rich public transit would have people walking. LA doesn't have rich public transit as it should so less people walk and choose to ride in cars, mostly in tourist part of the city have a lot of people walking like Hollywood blvd and the fashion district etc... so gta v is kind of accurate in a way.

I don't know bout you guys, but when i was playing there were more than enough peds in rodeo, the beach and vinewood..

The ghetto is the only part that feels a bit empty at times.. unless you come across a gang hang out and theres 10+ gang members chilling.
