My most burning question yet. Will it get a update so it supports Steam or?

Two things can happen. 1. Rockstar doesn't give a f*ck about PC gamers and GTA IV will become unplayable on PC. 2. A patch and GTA Online replacing GFWL.

MS has said you can still play all GFWL games, earn achievements, etc. You just cant buy anything. Just play what you have, download any previous purchases, get chievos, etc.

Recall mta 0.5 and the all seeing eye. The same thing will happen.

Wait, can you play GTA 4 online after shutdown of the GFWL marketplace? If so, YEEAAHS!

(Sorry for bumping)

That was what I originally heard. Now it seems we're doomed and that the multiplayer may well be gone after GFWL shuts down.

That's probably why I cannot find anyone in multiplayer.

Rockstar will announce the PC version of GTA V a week before shutdown.

Bet GTAO will use GFWL for a week, then closing down forever

Retail versions of the game will require Xliveless to run properly. Steam versions will work just fine. Worst case scenario, just play IV:MP when GFWL shuts down. :^:

So GTA IV on Steam still works with no problems? I downloaded GTA IV via torrent, so I need to know if removing the torrent version of the game will make any difference in downloading GTA IV from Steam
