In a nutshell it is a user inputed survery of how dangerous an area is.
At this stage, I wouldn't take this site too seriously (yet).
Have fun seeing if your 'hood is red or make those rich snobs in the town over look like a crime zone.

Who in their right mind would name my town dangerous? We may be right next to the ghetto, but we're still a very safe community. A huge freeway lies between my town and the ghetto, it sort of serves as a wall between us.

I'm across a state road from a ghetto (apparently; I mean there's pawn shops and cheap housing over there, but no gunshots or gangs roaming the streets). My area's rated Yellow. I've had my bike stolen, and my dad's car has been ejaculated inside by the peanut butter monster, but that's not really at all dangerous.

The area where I live now is unrated but my hometown is littered with yellow/red dots towards the center and they get greener the farther out you go. It's fairly accurate, I find the idea of this hilarious though, this is a very Republican idea.

My area is unrated as well. But we have a lot of stray cats and they can wreak havoc with your garbage.

My town of Ormond Beach is green. All the other towns, however, are either yellow, orange, or red.

Wow

No ratings in my city except for the local college campus, which is average.

Yeah, I wouldn't take this seriously, since it gives Disneyland a red dot.

The crime rate in San Francisco is very mixed. My area in San Francisco is in between a yellow(average) area and an orange(below average) area. Just two blocks away is a red(unsafe) area.

I'd imagine quite a lot of thefts occurring at Disneyland, for what that's worth.
