Hey,

I bought a LCD TV for 180 € a year ago. A few inches big with HDMI and 720p - Anyway, I gave the TV to my brother, because back in the day he had his first own apartment.

Today I got the thing back, but unfortunately it doesn't work like it should.

The device is booteing normally and after about 20 seconds the image is just completely black ... Strange... Because a few seconds before it worked excellently and without problems.

Does anyone have any idea whats the problem?

Do you hear sound? If so....

Shine a light at it and see if you can see an image at all. It could be that the backlighting is dead for some reason

I think something similar happened to me quite a few months ago, try to switch the HDMI plugs, like the one that is in the TV to the console and vice versa.

I found the problem. It's the backlight. The image is still there but extremly dark. Since this is a cheap monitor I can't replace the backlight.

Do you have other solutions?

As far as I know, if you cannot change the backlight yourself, then it is a no go fix. The TV is dead man. It's gone.
