For f*ck sake, Los Santos is based on LA.

No one walks anywhere there. It's well known they drive everywhere literally.

Yeah, the hood is a bit empty sometimes. But i constantly see people roaming around, some small groups of people gathering and talking. It's cool dude. You'll see when you play. :)

Just one of the bullsh*ts you'll get by playing on a console, so why the surprise? Pc  version has 2x the ppl on the beach shown in the screenshot, my only surprise is as to why rockstar mass produced a broken car handling mechanics, damage physics and hilarious jump ragdoll faceplant euphoria, my guess is, they did that on purpose, so their after release patches would seem important, i'm pretty sure they made the game perfect over the last 6 months and then did this bullsh*t, cause it was TOO GOOD.

Being someone who actually lives in LA i can tell you that the pedestrian amount seems to be pretty accurate for everywhere except the beaches and the pier.

You need to keep in mind that this city is based on Los Angeles, a city notorious for streets often completely devoid of pedestrian life, because of the heavily car based transport needs in the city.

Hopefully there'll be more pedestrians than shown in that clip but I like the general look of Los Santos from what I saw. I didn't really enjoy LC in GTA4 but this city looks a lot better.

Now I don't want to start a console-war, but someone suggested earlier that the Xbox 360 version has less pedestrians that the PS3 version, and we are seeing less as most leaks are from the 360.

Does nobody remember that traffic and pedestrians are all time-of-day dependent? This was one of the first things we learned from GI.

To everyone saying LA doesn't have that much pedestrians because everyone uses vehicles I ask you this: where are all the cars then?

For f*ck sake it's a 7 years old hardware. People should not expect miracles. Rock* is doing their best and we should be grateful for what we have ( I am neither a fan-boy nor played the game yet)

There's a TON of evidence from live streams and videos on Youtube and Game Anyone that there's way, way more pedestrians and vehicles than any previous GTA. There are some issues with the people complaining:

1. There's different density at different locations at different times of day. There's literally a whole stream of cars practically bumper-to-bumper at rush hour on the interstate (and accurately, only on one side) and you'll pass dozens of pedestrians on a short stretch of Vespucci Beach. But at night, the traffic and especially pedestrian count is much lower. The ghetto isn't filled with enough people to start human bowling most of the time, but it's still more than GTA IV. On a lonely stretch of desert road at high noon, you'll probably see three or four cars a minute.

2. If you have a wanted level, they drop the number of cars and pedestrians in the area. A lot of live streams tend to just cause chaos, so they're driving around Los Santos with a downright permanent wanted level.
