I'm assuming due to the popularity of this game that the midnight release crowds will get rather large.

I have been a law enforcement officer (on patrol for 7 years now) and have personally taken robbery reports from people who have been robbed (at gun point) while waiting in line.

So just a friendly reminder to everyone, be aware of your surroundings when in line. I personally have the night off so I will be armed in the line while waiting (think free security). I may be a 30 year old adult but I've been playing gta since I was a kid! Random topic I know but I think it is more relevant than most the other topics right now. Don't get robbed in real life, save that for Los Santos, see ya guys online.

If your a good cop who really knows how the world is, then you'd encourage people to do like me; To carry a .45 LEGALLY with a concealed weapons permit.

I had a friend who was robbed his Collectors Edition of CoD MW3. He saw a van pull up and slowly follow him and some guy ran out as a distraction and another one came from behind him and grabbed his bag.

but for OP: That's a kind reminder. Thanks :)

My preorder is at a Gamestop inside a Shopping Centre (Which will probably be closed at that time) so I will not be on Midnight release.

Thanks for the reminder though :^:

I'm all for concealed weapon permits, but sadly in the county I'm in( in California) they are rather hard to get.....

I will arm myself also, with my good old knife. My buddy on the other hand has a concealed carry permit... so we should be all good.

I live in a good area, but there has been some robberies going around lately.

Just wait untill PS4 comes out.  I remember riots, and robberies when 3 came out so I would expect more of the same.

I live in a good neighbourhood and nothing ever happens here.  In the past 5 years, there was only 2 stabbings, one had to do with family matters and the other one I'm not sure of.  I feel so safe, as if I could drive there in the fanciest car, leave the keeps in the ignition, casually walk into the store with thousands of dollars and flashy clothes, and walk out perfectly fine.  But in reality my friend is driving me there and I'm just walking in with casual clothes haha.  But I live in a safe neighbourhood so no big deal.

I'm a cop too.  As long as your Gamestop is not in a (you know who) neighborhood you'll be ok.
