Ok so we've all seen some of the leaked gameplay and everyone keeps bringing up the same thing... the car physics. I'm not going to form my opinion yet until I actually play the game for myself but anyways, I think one thing we can all agree on is the framerate. Compared to GTA 4, the framerate is DEFINITELY a lot higher in this game and it also appears to be very consistent. R* wasn't kidding in their official gameplay trailer when they stated: "There's also been a huge focus on mechanics in the game, to make every aspect as fun and fluid as it is broad. Everything from driving and shooting, to tennis and bike riding, feels fun and responsive."

So even IF the car physics aren't that great, I'm sure everything else this game has to offer will make up for it. I'm not gonna let one aspect of the game ruin the game for me. So far, I like what I'm seeing regarding the car physics/handling, as one person put it, it's GTA 4's physics with higher suspension/grip. Regardless... we will see in just a few days.

Yeah, all I know is, the games gonna run a lot smoother than GTA 4.

Definitely more than 30FPS. Considering GTA IV was capped at 30 and the leaked videos look a lot smoother, it is safe to say so.

I honestly don't get how they pulled it off. It's a true feat.

That's what I'm saying, especially on current gen consoles.

The quality of the vids I've seen is too crappy to tell framerate, but I hope you're right.

I'm still waiting for HD footage of PS3 and 360 to compare them. Keep my Fingers crossed R* finally managed to handle the PS3.

It's gonna be equal for both consoles. Only differences you'll see will be minor, I wouldn't worry!

Keep in mind that GTA IV was the first GTA To be made for the Current Gen Systems, so it was their first attempt, and now they have learned from their mistakes and how to optimize it better on current gen platforms

I'd rather them add more peds and have the framerate dip down a little lower.

Seems f*cking rock solid. Bad framerate was one of my biggest fears about the game.

I'm sure I can make it drop by using multiple explosions. But these whiners, for some reason, were expecting Gran Turismo or Forza...

Same here. Considering that this game requires 8gb of memory is enough to know how massive this game really is. As long as technical issues (glitches, bugs, etc) are minimal, I'm gonna be happy. As far as the car physics go, it seems like people are changing their opinions about it, or at least some are.

No, they were expecting GTA 4 physics, because apparently GTA 4 had the best car handling/physics, which I think is a bunch of non sense.

And I've yet to see gameplay footage of multiple explosions taking place, but so far the FPS (even in examples where GTA 4's FPS would drop) seems very constant.
