This place is an online gaming forum where none of us truely know each other, so it can kind of be dismissed as harmless fun. But don't you think it's pretty pathetic to have such a feature on these more closely, personally, social engaging websites?

Don't you think it's kind of pathetic to be this worked up over the same pointless stuff you are lobbying against?

I just hate the internet.

Because GTAForums isn't part of the internet. We're part of another dimension.

I dunno if you're adding to the joke or what, but trip is obviously joking.

I wasn't being serious either. It's hard to see it over the internet at times.

I haven't had a Facebook in almost 2 years now. I deleted it because it was just becoming a negative experience for me, every time I got on there I wanted to punch someone in the face over their status. I was also seeing some of my peers surpass me in life while I was in stagnation at the time. I plan to create a new one soon as I'm doing better in life now and actually have things I can share with people. I don't plan on friending or accepting as many people as I did before though and I'm staying away from any political or religious posts because I have a real job now. When I had Facebook during my college years it was an excellent tool for getting pussy but I feel like it's not like that anymore, I'll try anyway, probably after drinking too much.

OP, I liked your post just to upset you, did you get my notification?

Nothing like facebook.
Facebook is just mainly used for attention seeking people mostly now. I just used it to keep track of people that I was friends with. Deleted it like a month ago. Don't make one. Waste of time.

...as it's filled with angsty teens and over dramatics....

Mine isn't. But Facebook is ultimately what you decide to make it.

Using Rodney's example: if your friends/associates are angst filled teens and over dramatics, then angst and drama is what you're going to get.  I had a few friends at University deleting/reactivating their accounts every few months because of all the arguments and drama it caused. Well, I said, you invited those people into your online social life. It's your fault you're standing with me now getting upset about it.

Mine on the other hand is very manageable, sociable and overall enjoyable. I wouldn't know about anything or be invited out ever again if I wasn't there. How someone can have a social life in this age without social networking to yano, network your friendships is baffling. I bet you ARE missing out on something, but you don't know because you're not there.
