you mean gas tank? batteries dont explode on impact you f*cking c*nt nugget

Actually, batteries can. From the crushed metal, the battery could have shorted out, making sparks, which could ignite leaking fuel. The Banshee is a high powered sports car, using a lot of fuel to power the engine, and a fuel line could have busted and the sparks from the battery could have ignited it. Would it explode like that? Chances are, no. But there's a huge possibility it could have caught on fire and burned. Thank you.

Guys, just drive a Viper off a highway at 120 miles and hour, land it nose first and see what happens.

It will crumple to pieces and the driver will probably die.

It will, however, never explode.

The amount of people here who think cars explode after a big crash is honestly kind of worrying.

All I got was a casket and a funeral.

Somebody said that there may have been a gas leak, thus causing the explosion.  There was an old episode of mythbusters showing that in the very rare occasion of a gas leak, your vehicle and completly just blow up when falling from a great height.

Cars don't just explode like that

They do in very rare occasions.

Cars explode in games and movies because it looks cool. It's still a game, You are talking like it's real life.

Someone just posted the reason why it exploded in here and you are still trying to explain it, "he was transporting chemicals in a mission"

Does no one here realize cars exploded when landing on their front end from good heights in GTA IV? Police Cruisers were the easiest to get to explode. Seriously, drive off of the cliff in Bohan that falls down near Bruie's garage and the car will explode a majority of the time.

As for why it does, well it's easy. Rockstar said so.

For someone who has barely seen any leaked footage, can someone explain what the hell he's on about? Not everyone has seen the same video as OP
