"You have reached your quota of positive votes for the day".

What is the quota? Whatever it is it is way too low. You know how many good posts are being made here daily? I don't think anybody knows how many, but it's a large number.

Am I using the vote system wrong? I award a post with a vote if I like it, it usually means that it's helpful, funny or have a high quality. I don't reserve my votes to Pulitzer nominees.

There shouldn't be a quota, but we perhaps need a system that don't allow you to vote for only a few persons. On earlier Invision versions there was a possibility to enforce "spreading around" of rep points. Isn't that possible now?

I know that removal of the daily quota increases the possibility to abuse the system, but now when the reputation is only visible on profile pages the risk for abuse is lower, and abusers can't give negative votes which is a lot funnier for them. And if a "spread it around" rule is applied, abuse will not only be boring, it'll also be somewhat difficult. Don't let the few abusers set the rules.
