Is vintage stuff all right? Not taken by me but sharing for inspiration.
I really like the older police cars. They look alot more authoritarian than the new stuff.

Sad day here in Akron Ohio, Akron Police Officer Justin Winebrenner took his final ride to his resting place, over 1000 police officers from all over the region came to pay their final respects to Justin, representing more than 200 law enforcement agencies, Made their way from the Downtown Police Station through the southern part of Akron to his final resting place.
You could feel the emotion as it was passing by where I was photographing, Police officers in their memorial uniforms, some of them driving with their wives riding with them crying but trying to show brave faces.
You can find all of my uploaded photos from todays event here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/cak757/
Here is a small collection of the vehicles I captured today:
My first time Seeing anything from Youngstown
my first time seeing anything Border Patrol up close
I have heard that the Falls got new Ford Explorers and I was hoping to see them on their home turf, but I was surprised with 2 of them!
I have heard rumors of CPD receiving these, and then saw one on the news last month, I was pretty sure I would have to wait til May 2015 to see and photograph one for the first time, so today was win with this and the Cuy Falls Explorer and Border Patrol alone
I have been trying to photograph one of these for a while as well
My first time shooting a Canton car as well
CANT THIS DAY GET ANY BETTER??? brand new this year is a Taurus from Massillion!!!
Special livery for our soon to be retired CVPI's, also new(the livery, not the car)
love this shot for the headlights alone
And finally is Justin Winebrenners patrol vehicle.
Officer Winebrenner was a patron at a bar when the suspect got rowdy and was kicked out of the place, the guy came back with a gun and shot several people including Winebrenner who put himself between the suspect and customers and was shot as a result

This one is also new.
This is our new "ghost" car. White vehicle with white decals.

The wheels on that ghost Ford look very cool. What are they (or are they government-only)?
As far as I know, they are the police package wheels for the Taurus PI.

Damn, cop cars in America have sweet wheels. Yet, we use plastic hubcaps.

A mine and IED resistant vehicle seems a bit much for civilian use. Anyway, these is what the RCMP uses here in Canada - the TAV (Tactical Armored Vehicle).

Ford is teasing the next Interceptor to soon be unveiled:
Weird how they are already brining out a new interceptor when the current generation of interceptors haven't been out for long at all, my department just got them last year.

Definitely the new Explorer model (well.. no duh) Look at those head lights.. but why so soon? If they knew this was gonna happen, I wouldn't have made the current gen Explorers into interceptors.
