For my old tv RDR had the horse stamina bar partially cut off, so possibly

Then again it was a 19 inch old box tv.

You'll have minor screen cut off and small text will hard to read. My old tv was like that for all my 360 and PS3 games.

Wait all yall, if game did not run 480p properly, the box wouldnt have said 480p but only would say 720p. So the R* must have tweaked the texts and the bars on the screen for 480 resolution. That's I think and hope because I only have a 15" old box CRT tv as well and in The Last Of Us I couldnt read sh*t and it was traumatizing. Donate me money to buy the cheapest possible lcd tv :(

I think the radar will be slightly cut off when playing on a non hdtv.

You do not have to be rich to have an HD tv. Really, you don't. I've worked hard for everything I've got but I've been blessed too.

Rich? You can get a decent HDTV dirt cheap now. It's like $130 for a 21'' LCD TV (which is what I have). Getting an SDTV from a store is literally unheard of now.

I agree with you how tvs have gotten cheaper over the years, I remember when 32inch LCD tvs were almost 1000 for it. Also for me when I am at home I normally am on HDTV; however, when on vaction and if I cant use the tv provided (whether it be a hotel or whatever) I have like a spare portable 10inch tv that I believe is only 480p, and so far I haven't had any issues on the newer games that I have played (I have a 360 as well).

This isn't 2004. HDTVs can be had for a couple hundred bucks.

Does your computer monitor have a DVI-D input?

If so, you can buy an HDMI to DVI-D cable for literally a couple bucks on ebay.

You will get the picture quality, but no sound.  Then you have two options. Headset, or play the sound through your TV.

Even with GTA IV, the text was hard to read on dialog television.  I imagine the text will be the same at best.

Damn I still use my old tv for gaming in my room. Guess I will have to play in my living room when no one is home.
