Well It's apparently 49 Square miles, That seems good, and also I'm not sure if this website is a reliable source, but they seem to be legit.

So what do you guys think?

Good? Bad? Could have been better?  :beerhat:

It fine as long as there is enough to do in the map and I dont care about the size.

Just from the screenshots and trailers, the map size is incredible!

49 square miles is almost the whole of Birmingham in fact more so, so I would say that's pretty huge, plus the amount of buildings you're able to go into now compared to previous GTA's has been improved greatly.  :^:

I'd still buy it at half the size, which would be the biggest GTA ever.

I firmly believe that a map can be small and also very interesting, as long as it is designed well. Having places that change ownership, buildings that get knocked down and replaced, playlists changing on radio, tv and in cinemas, seasonal redressing of shops and other locations - not just Christmas decorations, but festivals from all cultures, in the appropriate parts of town. Not necessarily all features in GTA V, but it illustrates how you can keep the map evolving without sweeping changes or expansion).
