Please note I ain't a fanboy but I merely hate when facts are presented incorrectly, so I am attacking your post Sheem.

@CharlieSheem

By the next update for Vgchartz the game should have surpassed in preorders, what it sold on Day one in 2008.

In 2008 it sold 3.6 million copies on day one, out of 14.03 million consoles (Xbox 360 and PS3)
The record (you said)for COD blops 2 was 7 million on day one, out of over 156 million consoles.

Simple maths says that about 26% of console owners bought GTA IV on day one.
Compared to 4% of owners buying blops 2 on day one.

You may try and say "oh but that's not really fair. Not everyone is going to buy COD out of 156 million consoles." Lets compare the statistics to the nearest COD launch after GTA IV's launch.

The statistics were so weak, that Activision didn't publish Day One sales for World at War. It did however say that it sold 1.88 million units in its first month of sale, it went on sale on 11/11/2008 which gave it 20 days to sell 1.88 million units.

Since we can't compare it exactly, just laugh at the fact that in 20 days the COD loser fanboys game didn't even sell 52% of GTA IV's day one sales, in 20 days.

If we did compare it, by November 2008 combined sales of consoles had reached 17,411,000 units.
That would mean that in 20 days, 10% of PS3 and X360 owners had picked up a copy of their beloved game.

GTA IV SOLD in one day 3.6 million copies, they sold effectively at a rate of 38 copies of GTA IV to one copy of COD World at War.

There was only an extra 3,373,000 consoles so you can't make your case about anything especially the blops 2 sold to 4% of consoles. Effectively World at War sold to 0.5% of consoles day one, if you take an average of 20 days to sell 1.88 million copies.

The next time the charts are updated GTA V's preorders will be above GTA IV's day one sales, and thus that would indicate Rockstar will have a very strong Day One sales. Also don't forget that is only USA preorders, add on another 1 million minimum preorders for the rest of the World, and that's being very conservative. So what 4.5 million preorders already? You bet.

So please tell me Mr GTA Gamer how COD will win?

Answer: It won't, looking at the statistics leads me to believe GTA V will achieve at least sales to 6% of console owners, blowing COD Blops 2's record out of the water.

That would equate to 9,360,000 copies on Day One. If you take the conservative fact that there is already 4.5 million preorders, 3.5 million USA plus my conservate 1 million preorders (Rest of the World) then its already selling to 3% of consoles owned, only 1% behind the day one record for COD BLOPS 2.

Looking at official YouTube videos reveals the following:

On the official Callofduty channel:
Official reveal - 17,272,479 views with 98,819 likes and 13,406 hates.
There is no single player gameplay reveal on Callofduty channel. The top hit on YouTube with a search for 'call of duty ghosts gameplay' is a video by Matroix with 5,778,075 views with 104,766 likes and 10,866 hates.
Multiplayer reveal - 6,130,270 views with 88,776 likes and 17,276 hates.

On the official Rockstargames channel:
Official reveal - 36,755,332 views with 207,651 views and 5,298 hates
Official gameplay reveal - 23,641,457 views with 454,470 likes and 7,116 hates
Official multiplayer reveal - 7,327,937 views with 136,690 liked and 2,228 hates

Not only is GTA V the most preordered game in history, its going to break the records quite easily. To me and many players this doesn't matter, we truly love the game and it doesn't matter about records. We know that quality sets its own records in awards, sales etc because it is a truly great piece of art. We play the game because we want to, not to be able to say it sold 7 million copies on Day One, then everyone wanted to trade it in days later (i.e. COD games) but its because we enjoy the game.

GTA V is also the most liked, least hated and most viewed on YouTube compared to COD's latest iteration.

Fanboys please enjoy doing what you do, but remember the facts are what truly matter and your biased opinions don't really go down well on this forum.

Just wanted to pull one sentence from all your sh*t because there's no way I'm replying to all that.

Black Ops 2 made $1 billion USD in 1 week.

Actually, CoD Black Ops 2 made $500 million on day one, and around $1 billion in the first 15 days.

£1 billion is around $1.56 billion US income in the first month, and considering that CoD's sales slow down significantly after a relatively short time, I can see that GTAV will break all previous records made by the series.

This is bullsh*t.

Technically its not bullsh*t. Its pulled straight off YouTube, comparing those 3 videos, if we were to do a cumulative analysis of all official GTA V videos versus COD Ghosts I'm sure the winner would be GTA V, in those three videos alone it wins each time.

I don't personally care, neither do you probably, you probably will enjoy the game as much as anyone. However simple facts that I have presented are not bullsh*t, if you wanna change that then you better go watch the COD videos a few million times more then and press that 'Like' button a lot.

Anyway, I'm outta here before this turns into a locked topic, take care and enjoy the game!

GTA IV sold 25m copies since release. GTA V will make more than that in a year easily. It'll probably sell about 8-10m on pre orders alone.

80% of sales are made within the first 2 months so I think we'll see V selling about 15-20m by the end of November then another ~10m for the rest of the year. This time next year it'll have sold about 25-30m copies.

Black Ops 2 made $1 billion USD in 1 week.

So I think we can conclude that GTA V will go far past this point at release..
Yes it will. It's already beat all the call of duty's on preorders.

Blops 2 sold 7 million on day 1 = $500 million.  Last I checked, GTAV had around 3 million preorders.
If you are referencing to vgchartz, you sir are one retarded mofo. Anywho, 3million pre-orders x $60 = $180,000,000 already there you dumb twat. Simple cod fanboy backing up his precious game, right?

GTA V is going to sell more than 7 million on launch day. IV sold $320 million on launch day and that was in 2008 and $510 in the first week. 5 years have passed by with a bigger console fanbase.

VGChartz is the source everyone on these forums references when they speak of preorder numbers...from what I understand, they are actually pretty accurate.

Go to hell.
Lol, it seems you haven't been doing your research. They are not accurate, as a matter of fact, they are behind the actual numbers.

So, Goodbye, and "Go to hell".

Wtf is wrongwith yiu fags?
The vzchart thing is ONLY FOR THE USA
People around here just throw sh*t without know what they talk about

revenue...but not profit.  They will make a profit on this game for sure, but I'd like to see the profit margin.  Who cares about that revenue.

No, the real irony here is you seem to be quite comfortable with that level of stupidity.. and you're feeling insulted coz I ridiculed one of your group.. I understand... it must have felt like I was ridiculing you because you didn't know the population of the Planet you live on either.
