An article as been posted claiming that GTAV has been tipped off to sell 25 million copies in one year and gain £1 Billion in revenue

That's £1,000,000,000.

They say the 25 Million copies will "Re-write the record books"

Black Ops 2 made $1 billion USD in 1 week.

So I think we can conclude that GTA V will go far past this point at release..

Yes it will. It's already beat all the call of duty's on preorders.

Blops 2 sold 7 million on day 1 = $500 million.  Last I checked, GTAV had around 3 million preorders.

Blops 2 sold 7 million on day 1 = $500 million.  The rest of their release week they sold another 7 million..so yeah, 1 billion on their release week.  Last I checked, GTAV had around 3 million preorders. Obviously plenty of people will buy it that didn't preorder, but 4 million people buying it on release day that didn't preorder is unlikely.

EDIT:  Damn...sometimes when I edit my posts with these new forums I click "New Post" instead and it double posts...mod plz delete my post before this :\

I am worried about your health

OT: I agree but in the first week when so many good games are coming out , na but first month. I have never ever been as excited for a game than this , its as if its not gta v verses watchdogs vs fifa 14 vs Battlefield 4 vs COD vs Assassins creed 4 this fall but gta v is way out of any games league . Its more like PS4 VS XBOX ONE VS GTA V

If you are referencing to vgchartz, you sir are one retarded mofo. Anywho, 3million pre-orders x $60 = $180,000,000 already there you dumb twat. Simple cod fanboy backing up his precious game, right?

GTA V is going to sell more than 7 million on launch day. IV made $320 million on launch day and that was in 2008 and $510 in the first week. 5 years have passed by with a bigger console fanbase. It also has a much bigger budget. Most expensive game ever made and best gaming launch ever. It has already sh*tted on COD.

CoD is like a powdered up model flashing her tits. Yeah she gets all the attention for a while, but then its over as quick as it began.

V is like a lush natural model who has everything others don't, and she's letting everyone have a go on her as long as they want, as many times as they want. And she'll be the centre of attention for years to come.

Pretty much sums it up.

VGChartz is the source everyone on these forums references when they speak of preorder numbers...from what I understand, they are actually pretty accurate.

Go to hell.

Hello, I am currently 15 years old and I want to become a walrus. I know there’s a million people out there just like me, but I promise you I’m different. On December 14th, I’m moving to Antartica; home of the greatest walruses. I've already cut off my arms, and now slide on my stomach everywhere I go as training. I may not be a walrus yet, but I promise you if you give me a chance and the support I need, I will become the greatest walrus.

Lol, it seems you haven't been doing your research. They are not accurate, as a matter of fact, they are behind the actual numbers.

So, Goodbye, and "Go to hell".

@CharlieSheem

As somebody else mentioned, GTA V has already taken a giant sh*t on CoD in terms of preorders. And that number will be quadrupled on launch day.

Face it kid, the reign of your precious little boring, repetitive FPS is over. GTA is back, and now the days where games with actual innovation and ambition have returned to take the well deserved top spot.

Now go jerk off to Ghosts innovative moving fish.
