Why taken everything so damn literal? Everyone plays it on their own way.

It's fine with me. I completed GTA IV a while after it came out, but up until a few years ago, I still played it constantly, and with IV's limited party mode, I probably got another 50-150 hours out of that. With this online: customization, buying stuff, lots of missions, achievements, I'm sure I'll get even more out of it.

100 hours is fine with me. The world will be so expansive, I'm sure I'll get more than 100 hours out of it just roaming around and driving.

I think it all depends on how you play.  I tend to spend a ton of time doing stuff non game related.  Driving around, hanging out with friends or dates or getting into trouble for long chases by the PD to see how far I can get.  Sadly, a lot of those options were limited.  GTA V opens up a new can of opportunities that I only have a small knowledge of.  The activities seem overwhelming (in a good way).  Very excited about this release.  The GTA team never disappoints.

If you can't make your own fun in GTA, you're doing it wrong.  Just look at the size of the world they've created.  There could be no single player campaign and I'd still spend more than 100 hours playing around.

100 hours is A LOT, so I don't see where to complain.  :beerhat:

More than enough for me. That's not factoring in GTA: Online either. That's going to add hundreds of more hours.

Less hours/smaller stories SMALLER map----I don't like the route R* is taking. Smaller doesn't mean better. Smaller doesn't mean quality. Smaller is.....well......smaller.

100 hours is more than enough for the story/side missions.

I don't know what the hell you were doing in Skyrim that lasted 400 hours but I completed all the missions/side missions in about 80 hours. If I hadn't spent so much time f*cking around the map I could have done it in less time. That 80 hours felt like forever and I enjoyed it.

If GTA V takes 100 hours then I'll be more than happy. I only play a game for about 2-3 hours at a time. If I were to play GTA V from the 17th September doing only the story/side missions for 3 hours a day until I reached 100 hours it'd take me until the 20th October to finish it. That's more than enough for me since I won't be playing mission after mission. I'll be exploring the map, just driving/flying around and having fun.

I finished IV in about 3 days back in 2008. I spent the next 5 years f*cking around in the map. I'll be dragging out V's missions for as long as possible and if IV can last me 5 years then V will last me 10 years.

AtomicPunk, are you sure we're looking at the same game? GTAIV had 40 hours of gameplay at best, it could even be 100% completed within 25 hours.

He says 100 hours of total gameplay, which means missions and side activities, he doesn't say hundreds. This concerns me as I know we have GTA online, but I was really hoping GTA V Single Player content would last me a lot longer then just 100 hours. That really isn't a long time, I have put over 400 hours into Skyrim and I STILL haven't seen everything there is to do in that game.

What do you guys think?

It's fine.

I'm not fussed if its 100 hours, suits me. GTA is a game that can be played for ages after the story has been finished.

Ahhhh shut the f*ck up! 100 hours is plenty, plus I'm positive that lots of people will be getting a lot more than that.

50 hours for the story alone is A LOT. Games nowadays have around 15 hours normally. And then there's the other 50 hours of side missions. But the most hours will be spent free roaming, never forget that. I'll easily get up to 300+ hours (and I probably won't spend too much time on side missions, the only GTAs I really finished 100% were VCS and LCS on PSP).

Quality, not quantity. Besides, even if there was 0 missions, we'll be playing this game for the next 5 years no matter what.

The amount of hours I play GTA doing my own thing in free roam, heavily outweighs however many hours of missions there are... the storyline and mission stuff is only a fraction of the experience. There is no limit to jumping into GTA Online and going jet skiing with friends, trying to get an army tank up Mt Chiliad, dropping friends into the ocean so they get eaten by sharks... the list goes on. There is no X amount of hours that GTA limited by unlike other linear games.

I will get a MILLION hours of entertainment out of GTAV. OP is a Phaggot!
