I assume because of the new fancy forums software there are also new rules for the signature size, am I right?

When I edit my signature the following rules are listed:

Your signature may contain:
* Up to 1 images
* Images up to 500 x 150 pixels
* Any number of URLs
* Any number of lines

Are those the only rules for signatures now? Does that mean, signatures may be as tall as we want now? I think that's not a good idea, your old size rules were perfect and prevented the users from having huuuuuge signatures which would be most of the time taller than the actual post.

Please also limit the amount of lines for the signatures. Also restrict the file size of the image again please.

There are only some smaller alterations in the signature size rules. The dimensions are the same as before, as you can see, but there doesn't seem to be a file size limit anymore. However, avatars do have a limit now; they can not be bigger than 300KB, whereas it was unlimited on the old software.

The rules are the same as before. You can have any number of urls and lines as long as they don't take your sig over the permissible dimensions i.e. 500x150. If you're using an image, it can't exceed 500x150 either.

The rules seem to be the same. Just the limit box isn't displayed anymore.

I see, thanks for clarification! :)

But still, the file size check seems to be broken. I've already seen huge GIFs with over 5 MB in size, that's way too large (at least there is a block feature for specific signatures, great feature btw!). Could you make sure the file size check works correctly? Furthermore I think the old size limit of 80 KB may be a little bit too restrictive, would be nice if you bump it up to 150 or 200 KB :)

Quuck question I used to have one image in three segments so I could assign seperate url links to each segment of the image. Is that acceptable as it  could be looked upon as 3 imgs.

I guess that should be fine as long as the whole thing doesn't exceed 500x150.
