I made a topic a few months ago where I did some mathematics and guestimations and came up with about 70 missions and everyone just flamed me saying it was bullsh*t. And now it's confirmed as true wtf!!

Did you guys even watch the F***ing video? He said 70 SOMETHING missions IN ADDITION TO the 6 HEISTS! and the six heists have up to 20 STAGES OF PLANNING!

So let's do the math.

70 something can mean anything from 71-79 so let's pick the middle. 75

75 missions. 6 heists. a total of 81 so far.

Now each heist has up to 20 stages of planning. Even though we don't know how intricate each stage will be, let's group them together in groups of 4 to equal 1 mission.

So that's roughly 5 groups for each of the 6 heists. 5*6 is 30.

Now, 30 stage missions plus 6 heists plus 75 story missions is 111. 111 Main story missions. That's not including all the dynamic side missions.

Can we all shut up now and stop complaining?

AMEN BROTHA! lol

I don't think it's so bad. The missions don't include side missions and objectives, and they don't include GTA Online missions which number in the 100s. I think there will be plenty of content to keep us satisfied.

70 missions? IV had about close to a 100. What is this?

in 2012 they already said that it has less than IV because most people did not finish IV cause it felt too long.

It was rather because of the lack of variety than too many missions imo

There's an option to skip missions/checkpoints like in RDR. If the noobs can't pass missions then i'm sorry but that's their problem.

70?

More like 200.

Exactly.
What kind of idiot would believe a game this big only having 70 missions? The source is not legit at all.

Retarded idiots.

That's redundant. How illiterate are you?

Besides, the only reason i'm saying that is because if it has been delayed twice, a lot of people, including myself would be quite disappointed, or as I like to say, pissed.

RDR: 58 Missions

GTA4: 94 Missions

San Andreas: 192 Missions including 3 secret Missions

I got these numbers from the web so I dont know if they counted sidemissions or not

Depends on how you're seeing it. GTA SA had 104 story missions, not 192!

i cant wait until it out next week and you all shut up

there's an achievement  Earn 70 Gold Medals on Missions and Strangers and Freaks

you will walk into 70 "letters" on the map during this game

there is also six achievements for heists, so they are six extra, these heists have a few bits of planning to do each maybe 3 - 5 so 18 to 30 on the heists

total will be 70 - 100

but seriously will you guys be counting as you play along, oooo what fun that will be

Didnt R* say that GTA Online, initally, would have 500 missions and later on, R* are aiming to add 200 more... and more later on.

Lets face it, GTA IV had too many "drive across the city, have a gunfight" missions. I believe that V's missions are going to be a lot more diverse and entertaining with the more "routine" stuff split out into side-missions and activities.

f*ck, how greedy can this forum get.

There's a world to explore and f*ck around in too people, the games not gonna go black screen, and straight to a new game menu, it's an open world game one of the biggest we will have in our hands here.

Many of you really need to stop crying so much, unbelievable. You get so much in one game, yet there are still so many complains here and there, and yet you guys spend the same amount of money for games that feature barely anything and probably don't complain about that.

The whining on this forum seriously becomes unbearable. Some of you just can't get enough.

Don't forget, there's probably more than one way to play most of those. 70 is a perfect number for a mission amount.

>believing youtube people that don't work for any company.

The GTAV O'Clock guys work for CVG, one of the biggest games journalism websites based in the UK, that employs the best of UK games journalists and is a fully fledged company that is owned by Future Publishing, one of the biggest magazine manufacturers worldwide.

So you can take that more than symbol and shove it up your arse.

On topic... 70 missions is a big enough number. RDR had less and it still took me ages to complete, so GTAV is set to give me more. It also depends on the quality and diversity of the missions, and judging by the recent IGN previews, they're going to be pretty varied. I'm excited, and this hasn't dampened that any.

You guys are acting like Rockstar Games didn't say months ago that there will be less missions than Grand Theft Auto IV.

A bit yes. But then again. It still had some awesome missions left.
