Missions are more complex here and some need planning

People tend to forget:

- all the side missions this game will have
- random encounters ( RDR style)
- bounty hunting
- animal hunting
- other diverse activities
- new missions which involve the radio somehow (IGN told this)
- exploration
- random online missions
- custom online missions/ deatchmatches

All this + 70 missions isn't really all that bad.

70 is quite dissapointing, I hoped for a bit over 80. I don't care much about side missions. Main missions are what I've been looking forward to for the past 5 years, especially the cutscenes. Cutscenes in GTA games I find are the best bits of the games themselves.

they said there was over 500 missions in GTAO.

I'm sure 70 is just a general term for MAIN story missions. Don't know if it includes all the Franklin Gangbanging/Michael's Family/Trevor's Lost MC missions. We'll see. I don't think rockstar plans on underwhelming us with this game haha.

Like do the heist "preparation" missions count? We'll see.

Quality over quantity, probably 20 of which contribute to the 5 heists.

Don't see any issues.

people are forgetting Gta 4 had hardly any side missions. Also red dead i believe had less then 60 and it felt long. The thing about gta 5 is that it is a more connected world with dynamic events like what was featured in red dead. that makes the game more fun/longer and besides heist missions appear to take along time casue it requires careful planning. Also they have gta online on top of that. dont get why people are complaining.

only 70? :O 23 per each character?

thats really less than i expected, and the game looks small now

There may be less missions but the length of the mission is what matters. Also the details and The difficultly

Wait a minute, who the f*ck cares if its "only" got 70 missions????

We know the game is gonna be long and indepth. It's 70 missions that will be PACKED with action and interest.

This isn't like GTA IV. There won't be as many boring "fetch" missions and filler.

Yes I'm just guessing, but it's an educated guess based on what we know and have heard.

70 seems a bit too small but the amount of missions doesn´t really tell how long the story is. Previous gta´s have had many short missions that were completed in a couple of minutes. Maybe V will have longer missions.

And I expect the actual Heist missions to take a long time.

Compared to what? compared to some recent games, it's a whole lot.

I think it's enough, too many and no one will finish the game, I almost didn't finish IV because of how boring it became.

Well, Red Dead had 57 missions and i've finished it in 18/19 hours. GTA IV had over 90 missions and i've finished it in 22 hours. I think that i'll end GTA V in 20/21 hours. But if it's 21 hours of gamplay only, without cutscenes, it will be fantastic. With the cutscenes maybe we'll reach 28, 29 hours.

If the missions are long enough, it won't be a problem.

I think it's fair enough, So long as the missions in GTA V contain more detail, meaning they are longer and host a lot more variety.

Guys, EVEN if it had 70 missions, it would take so much time because i usually just do like 1-2 missions in a row and free roam like for 5-6 hours 0.o.

But i doub't it will be 70 missions since GTA:ONLINE will have about 500-700 missions..

I wasn't disapointed. I loved the graphics, the details and the storyline. The only thing was that after you finished, there was nothing else to do. But, they introduced multiplayer wich is pretty cool. Maybe not the best one, but it was okay.

Doubt that it is just 70 missions.

Except if 1 Mission(like a heist or something) requires to do some side missions like rob a Ammu-Nation store etc.

On the other hand, the game is huge has 3 protagonist etc, it already felt to good to be true.

70 for just the main story, if the 70th mission will be th 6th heist. It would mean there are about 12 missions in between every heist. Sounds reasonable.

70 main story missions is fine considering all the time you're going to be spending in this game doing extra stuff. I'm going to spend hundreds of hours just on the stock market functions alone.

70 missions is fine. This most likely does not include side missions. Just main story missions. 70 is plenty.

People complaining are ridiculous.

i cant lie, i am a little dissappointed, but its gta v so not too much, but i mean if your actually a fan of GTA and not one of those kids that just plays to kill people (that pisses me off so much) you'd have finished all the GTA's regardless so even if this was 500 missions like GTA online you would do them all because your a fan and not some loser who plays the game to kill people because theyre immature and have nothing better to waste their time on.

RDR had less missions and still felt fine. Older games had a lot filler missions. You know, the ones that you think of as the "let me get this out of the way so I can get to one of the cool missions" type missions when you're replaying the game.

Rockstar had less of these in RDR, and V looks like it will have even less. Good riddance, I say.

i completely agree but what i think may be the problem is that everyone may like the 3 main characters and its almost like an attachment with them and once the storyline is finished the attachment with the character is gone. no homo

RDR had those cattle missions, which drove me nuts with how boring and slow they were. I doubt we will have missions like that in V.
