If you give them 3 games you don't play before 16th of September, you'll get GTA:V for €30,00

The value of the 3 games has to be €30, and Gamemania is really cheap with second hand games you turn in.

And you get a discount of €31 on one of these games (normal price is €60), while you can get V for €50 or even less at other stores.

Just sell your used games on Marktplaats.nl and get way more profit.

Worst thing to do ever. They buy your game for 7 or 15 € depending on certain criteria. Afterwards they put in on the shelves for 30 to 50 €. I wanted to sell them Red Dead Redemption (mind you, the booklet, box, cd was new (not even opened). They wanted it for 8 while they resell it for 25€. What a scam that is. Just a heads up.

They don't put it in the shelves.

They put it on the 'Used games' section.

You know you could have just posted this in the dutch pre-order thread?

Yes, of course the 'Used Games' section which is on the shelves....
The same way new games are advertised, at least here. I guess you missed the whole point of the post where they rip off customers.

That's not a scam. That's called turning a profit. I'm gonna use FFXIV as an example. If I happen to see a few groupings of 100 fire shards for say 25 gil/per unit, and they are the lowest unit price, by lets say 20 gil, I'm gonna buy all of them, put them in groupings of say, 60, and sell them for 40 gil. I'll be making a profit. A goddamned huge profit at that. If people buy them. And they will. I've had tonnes of success selling elemental shards on the market boards. That's how I've been making all my money.

Anyway that's how stores that sell used games make a profit. Buy low, sell high.

Actually it's not a discount. If you turn in the games and you get 30 euros, then you still have to pay 60 euros.. But you just got 30 euros from your games, so it makes no real difference. Just salesmen talk.

Well yeah of course they do it for a profit... Wouldn't you?
People are stupid to even consider buying it. For 5 more, you'll have a new version :/
If it's a game that's outdated or hard to find i guess it's wirth it (sometimes).

Normal price is 55 euro. Meaning you turn 3 games in for 25 bucks. It makes me wonder where they ever got the nerve to say that this is a 'special action' while you pretty much get ripped off. I know Gamemania has to make a profit, and I understand that, but they make it seem like you are f*cking them. Kinda reminds me of that south park episode where they sell juwelry to eachother.

I laughed so hard when I saw this advertisement. ONE WHOLE EURO DISCOUNT!!! And that's only when you would trade in 3 games which they'd consider to be worth exactly 30 euro's, if you trade in games worth more than that you would even lose money.

I did go there yesterday though, shouting "Please, take my 60 euro's".

That's why I don't go to gamemania anymore. In the past you could just borrow games and get used games really cheap. But times have changed.

I placed my pre-order on amazon UK with one day delivery to Belgium for about 40 EUR (35 pounds)
