I installed GTA Vice City and I want to install some mod for it. For example, I want to install a new car. When I change .dff and .txd in models\gta3.img, there is no problem, but whenever I want to change things in data (handling, default, carcols) or even change map in data (anything in data folder) while loading game I got "Unhandled Exception" ... I don't know why... I use Windows 7 x64 .. So I really don't understand how can I then install mods? I tried to use limit adjuster but didn't help. But I am 100% sure that there is some way to change data, there are still many mods for GTA Vice City. Can somebody help me please, to explain me what to do? Thanks

As far as weird it sounds, you're probably doing it wrong.

Make sure, if you use something newer than XP, that your game is not in Program Files (or you're editing the files as Admin).

Then if I install the game in for example C:\Games\GTA Vice City it will work?

Ho did you change the data filesr? did you add a new line in one of the Data files?

I used GTA Garage Mod Manager to replace cars, and it's still crashing.. Any changes in data make my GTAVC crash
