Let's say there is a Cluckin' Bell and a Burger Shot next to eachother in downtown Los Santos. Could you go massacre the Burger Shot (GTA IV fun in Star Junction style) and then have the stock plummet like a rock?

That brings a whole new type of crime to GTA

Gordon Gekko style stock manipulation will be lots of fun. I'm going to destroy some companies' stock

Straight from the horses mouth (Benzies):

"You can go online, buy some shares in a car company, target that company's cars, blow them up so the insurance will replace them and the stock price will go up. Everything's tied in, the same as it is in single-player.

aye i remember reading about this a while ago a developer said if for example you purchised stock in a car company you could blow up some rival car companys and the stock would go up, it makes missions more intresting how many times have you played a mission where you are the gunner  in the back seat you pass a petrol station and decide to blow it up either hoping to take out some enimies or just for dramatic effect, where as now you pass the station aim at one of the fuel pumps prepare to pull the trigger, then notice the sign and go. "ohh sh*t this is one of my buisness, dont want to damage my bottom line."

Yea. Should be cool. Apparently it'll work online too cause Rockstar said they'd be trying to stop cartels from forming that manipulate the economy.

It is said that your actions will influence the stock market either positively or negatively, so yes.

Well yeah, technically if you were to destroy a company, there is a chance as well that they dont have the funds to rebuild. If you were smart, you would never destroy small little companies if your attempt was to buy low.

On the other hand, if you know some rival has their money in some company already, then you would want to destroy that company so they lose all their money.

This makes me wonder how much money you can get from stocks at once. There may be a cap (in my opinion) on how may stocks an in-game company has at any time to prevent abuse. There is so much stuff to buy in GTA V, and R* wants the money-making process to be more challenging. However, I wonder how long it will take for someone to make 8-9 digit figures just by buying stock from a car company, blowing up the inventory at the dealership of the manufacturer, then selling the stock.
