Not sure when it was changed but for those of you that haven't realised; the avatar file size limit has been upped from 100kb to 300kb. Aw yis.

How do you use code tags now?

Exactly the same way, as far as I can tell.

Does anybody know where to post bugs?

I think here's something fishy going on:

How do I see old posts? Like my first post for example.

Go to your profile and click on the 'Find content' button on the right-hand side. From there, you can choose to view topics or posts separately or both together.

Since the increased replies in a page, I never finish reading the full page.

It's way too annoying to read the page in one go and keep scrolling and scrolling and scrolling.

Why is it increased? Just keep it at 20 or 25, it's the best that way.

What difference does it make? If you plan on reading every post in every thread you're going to have to scroll through them all anyways.

The default 20 posts per page was optimal. Page takes a while to load when the topic involves posting pictures. The funny pictures topic for example.

For some reason, mine only goes to October, 2011. It doesn't go past Page 40.

I have changed my vote from "waiting" to "yes."

now that some more of the kinks have been worked out, I'm enjoying the new look and feel.

it didn't take long to get used to and the most visible errors have been corrected.

pretty nice overall :^:

I guess I juged to fast. First I said no, but now I find it much better. I thought they removed the sidebar, but it was just collapsed by default. Also now browsing on my phone actually works well. Just miss meh BB Codez :( I never liked the Microsoft Word ToolBar sh*t on Forums.

Add back 60 second ninja edit and we are all good.

How to bring back menu on the left?

Found an arrow in Firefox. Though it's missing in Opera.

This is such a downgrade from the old site it's unbelievable.
There was always talk of all new features being added with a new version of the forums and this actually has less.  :panic:

In what way does this upgrade have less features? There's a few things that need sorting/fixing, but this upgrade adds a decade's worth of updates & modern features to this board.

Really? Please enlighten us then, I'd like to see the changelist of features that took 10 years to complete..

(1 example: Name changes were always a popular request on the forums and we were always told it would be a possibility when a new site was launched.)

This thread seems to contain a lot of posts about features missing from the old version, not to mention the reports of it now being broken on many mobile devices.

In my opinion; If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

@Sam

Name changes will come once they fix and finish setting up features. Have patience.. it's a virtue.

I'm an avid user here and between the old forum and this one, I have to agree with Knife, there's a sh*tload of changes made and new features. Not exactly sure where you're speaking from. Sure there are still a few bugs but they're working on them.. this was a massive change, so some of the old features won't necessarily work with the new update and so forth. Give it time and you'll be used to it as well as happy. If not.. too bad.

It was broken. Certain things would break if modified. Name changes were one of many things that simply were too much hassle to do. We're still ironing out how to go about name changes in a way that won't cause havok (for example, if someone changes their name, what happens if someone takes their old name, etc).

There are significant updates for moderators to help keep check on the forums. Plus the modern codebase means we can use addons and extensions and update the forums more regularly with features people need. It's also significantly more secure and stable.

The old forums were the same for almost 10 years, they were well overdue for an update. The web has come a long way in 10 years. It's nice to post and edit replies to topics without reloading the whole page for example.

It ain't gone. Instead of the "Respect+" buttons we can now see the "Like This" ones at the bottom right of each post. Also, you can check your respect points in your profile (top right) since they're not visible anymore under your Join Date in your posts.
