Over the years people have been speculating about Grove St's existence, Did you honestly think it would make a return? Don't Lie...

Never doubted but who cares.
What I doubt is that we'll spend much time there. (only for gang-related missions. I can buy a new home.)

So the IGN video about it is true? I thought they just said it as a generic term for The Familes being back.

I didn't really think about it, to be honest. Once we heard about the Ballas coming back, it felt logical that the Families would return as well in some fashion.

Grove St. was a set based on the street... Grove St.

It wouldn't make sense to have the gang rep the street that isn't there. I'm sure they could elsewhere but by then they would have changed their set name...

Nah; it's too much of a GTA staple to NOT put the gang back in.

Also, as mentioned above, the Families was the gang as a whole, Grove Street was just a set within the Families. Just like the Bloods have Piru and Crenshaw sets, the Families have Grove Street.

I literally just realized the Families set thing a few days ago xD

No, I didnt think it would return, and its not returning.

Yes there is a street named "Grove" but its not the same street. Re-imagined, which is what I expected.

LOL at most of the people saying they "knew" there would be a Grove street. I bet at least HALF of those proclaiming they knew there would be a Grove street are the SAME people who loved telling everyone it was impossible because of the whole "different universes" garbage.
Liars, the whole lot of you..........liars.

Well now the street is confirmed as well as The Families except the Families do not have a set on Grove Street anymore..... It's the G.S.Bs now!!!

I did, but I don't see what all the fuss is about. Maybe it won't hit me until I actually go there in V and the nostalgia creeps in. But right now I don't give a f*ck about Grove Street. Mt Chiliad's where it's at!

Why shouldn't it return? It's just a location. It's not like CJ is coming back is it? If locations can't return then why did we get a remake of Liberty City and Los Santos?

i didnt think/want it would be back. mainly because of all the kids crying about it, i started to hope against them and wish grove street didnt return at all. every time there was anything that looked vaguely similar, the forums would blow up about it.

It's not to say anything against San Andreas but I really never cared. If the Ballas and Families didn't exist and the gangs of Los Santos would of been all renamed I wouldn't cared either. I figured and accepted that a lot was going to change when they said they were re-imagining the city. LC in GTA IV didn't include all the old gangs from GTA III either and it wasn't like I missed them.

Honestly, R* wants GTAV to sell the most copies as possible. Ever since the first trailer they have been making people think "Is that CJ on jetski?", ect, ect, and it's no different with them writing Grove Street on the side of the building Franklin's the trailer. R* didn't want to go back to GTA SA but they didn't want to alienate their SA fans either.

I'll be honest, I didn't expect it at first. but when the LS Blueprint Map showed that there was a Cul de Sac, I kinda expected it. Doesn't matter much to me to be honest, but glad that people are happy because of it.

Rockstar didn't want to go back to SA?

Never really considered it actually. If it wasn't Grove street, it would've been another cul de sac just like it. But now i'm intrigued why the ballas run it.. I wonder what happened to GSF? That story will have to be told now.. they can't move the ballas in and not explain it.

I figured that Rockstar might throw something in as an easter-egg, but I doubt this means that the 3D and HD universe rule no longer applies as some have suggested.

What is so great about Grove Street anyway? Its just a cul-de-sac. I don't get the hard on people have for that street or even that whiney lame-ass CJ.
