Last week I got my hands on an "Easycap", there is a demonstration video below, here is my review.

The device is very easy to use (as the name suggests). I can have it running in two minutes as all I have to do is plug it into my laptop, change to my S-video cable then record in virtualdub. This area is very user-friendly.

The quality (as demonstrated above) will suffice for the small Youtube channel (like mine) and will hopefully improve when my views & subscribers do (when I invest more); however, for 5 I am very satisfied.

The only issues I have is the heat of the device (it heats up) and how it requires some user-tuned settings to work well.

Overall, I love the device and am very glad to have it, if you're on a budget, buy the easycap, an S-video Cable and make sure you have an audio to microphone adaptor.
