GTA V introduces so f*cking many new thing that I find it hard to come up with ways for R* to keep things fresh in future GTAs
How many protagonists? What gender? Where would it take place?

I think 2 protagonists, a male and a female could be interesting

As for the location... I don't have many ideas
Vice City? I don't think so - modern Miami without the 80's charm just wouldn't be interesting enough
Las Venturas? In SA, a big part of Las Venturas was the desert - now that they put it next to Los Santos in V, the landscapes would be too similar from game to game
San Fierro? It was a pretty boring city in SA, wasn't it? Maybe they could do something interesting to it, make it bigger and more lively, but would it beat the new Los Santos?

Or maybe a completely new location? Seeing as the GTAs have taken place in all kinds of american landscapes, it would be nice to have that game in a different country. The thing is that in GTA, Russians speak Russian, Mexicans speak Spanish and so on - how would it work in e.g. China, Japan or the mentioned Mexico? Aside from that, we could lose one thing that everyone loves about this series - the satire of American culture.

Personally, I thing that Mexico could be interesting, it being culturally influenced by the US
Also, the protagonist(s) could come from an English-speaking country so the NPCs would talk to you in that language.

Sorry if that was chaotic, it's hard to compress a lot of thoughts into a bunch of neat sentences

What are your thoughts?

I can see them doing GTA VIce City. We already have LC and SA (without the two other cities), so why not?

I don't think Rockstar would be making another game in the state of San Andreas so close to each other nor do I think Las Venturas or San Fierro deserve its individual game. Vice City would make the most sense because Rockstar said in one interview their tweaking with old stuff which I believe to be old maps.

Best scenario I think would be a new city. Hopefully a Philadelphia or Boston since they seem to go unloved as far as video game locations go. Both cities also have strong suits and histories for a game. If they needed to make it a Boston/Philly/LC game map.

I'd personally want to see a re-designed and re-imaged Vice City and the surrounding area and that probably makes the most sense. Mainly being because it is the only city that hasn't been redesigned for the HD universe - and the fact that Rockstar have stated awhile ago that they want to bring Vice City, Liberty City and Los Santos/San Andreas into a single game. In order to do this, Vice City also needs to be redesigned for the HD universe as Los Santos/San Andreas and Liberty City were.

Though with that being said, it would be nice if they did a completely new city rather then revisiting or redesigning the same places that they have already done.

It seems everyone is on the same boat for a next gen VC. It would be awesome. The biggest challenge would be recreating the "vibes" everyone loves to talk about. TBH, i'd like to see some places in original VC come back(maybe starfish island or malibu club) and still add a new city to it.

I don't see them doing a full scale remake of Vice City, but more like GTA Florida. They went with the modern era on L.A. and NYC with IV and V,and Miami has not been anything since the 80's except a cesspit of washed up rappers and music videos. They have already did the 80's twice (VC and VCS) There are other places in Florida they could include besides Miami, like Tampa and go the whole way with it.

who needs the 80's? we have something better.... 80's Nostalgia! and lets face it, the way we imagine (or remember, for those of you that lived it) the 80's being is actually a lot better than it really was. I think that, like with GTA:V they would have to do "a modern remake of the south..." of Florida which really would work, with the swamps, glades, islands, the city of vice and it's surrounding areas, and of course, interstate 95... Now they might have to glitz it up a bit... play up the nostalgia... i don't care... i want to go back to VICE!!!! LOL I think a lot of us do...really liked that city.

To be honest I would love a 70's San Fierro. R* did a p*ss poor job with San Fierro in San Andreas, and could be done amazingly in the 70's, the decade that made San Fracisco somewhat notable.

I'd love to see London again, don't care when it is set. that city can provide a magnificent backdrop for whatever era. few cities can do that

lol I always tell myself to avoid these topics because it's way too early to discuss but

here it goes:

- 1 Protagonist (With possible 2nd protag on DLC)

- Present-Day

- Still in the U.S.

- We may be able to travel to V's map from GTA 6's world. (Online)

- Will release between Spring 2017 - Fall 2018 (Yep, possible big gap)

And that's all I'm willing to speculate on for right now.

Las Venturas and San Fierro will not be featured in major games, I mean, for example we'll not see Grand Theft Auto 6 taking place in LV or SF. But I think they're good for making expansion Packs. I'm also working on GTA V: San Fierro Concept and the result is here: http://gtaforums.com...uto-san-fierro/

I think there wouldn't be any more Vice City games :( because Miami hasn't really CHANGED like how LA did. But there would be a game based on other florida cities. Other Thing i predict is making a whole new city based on other US cities (San Diego, perhaps!).

Why everyone wants Vice city when it is so much like Los Santos with beaches, sunny weather, you will get the same feeling. Vice city should be left for GTA 7 or incorporated into a multi city GTA. Carcer city would be interesting and unique, the most vile city in GTA world but you should expect an ungly city.

They could go with more snow and games/activities related snow, that would be a first for R*. A new big city metropolis parody into the US that features a lot of snow or at least a lot of smaller towns on the map that has snow. I dont know what city in the US could be, probably one located in north.

Best way is to remade Las Venturas in new generation. Imagine Las Vegas created on the new sistems, imagine the detail and lights. It will feature a sexy desert and maybe canions to explore around the map(like RDR but a lot better). The city itsef would be beatifull and it is one of the most unique citys in the world.Since LS doesnt have gambling, imagine that gambling and casinos would be the highlight of the game. The game story in LV would be awesome, all storys in Las Vegas are cool.

It's a damn shame we wont see a new GTA until (Most likely) 2019.

Anyway, here's my prediction

Vice City /Havana, Cuba

Heavy emphasis on drug dealing

You know, I don't really care about the location as much as the time period.

I'd like a change from present day. Social commentary is fun, but imagine what you can do with current technology - even more detailed renditions of specific periods. It could be really fun with the newer mechanics introduced in IV and V - imagine for example a GTA set in the mid-90s featuring in-game internet with parodies of primitive 90s websites, or watching in-game TV with parodies of the things there back then.

Anyway, they said there isn't a GTA in the plans right now. So we gotta wait a while. I hope they announce the next game by the time I finish the uni at least.

Dan Houser confirmed that GTA won't go outside of "America" but I guess he meant U.S.A more.

I really hope for a new city, I really do, I am getting sick and tired of SA, VC and LC.

I want to see a present-day London in the HD universe! They should also do other cities in the UK like Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, etc. with motorways connecting them!

The mid-90's would be interesting, having the setting taking place between 1994-97. The time period of the mid-90's where a major transistion for technology and culture alike so it'd be interesting to see what they could do with that. Not to mention the nostalgia, I mean with the people in my age group almost in their 20's (myself turning 20 next year) it'd be interesting to see life at the time I was born in and barely remember (the furthest back I can remember is 1996).

E3 2015; GTA VI is announced as PS4 exclusive, has an expected release date on Spring 2017. According to a Rockstar press release;

It will take place in the city of Vice and surrounding wetlands, countryside , bitches and beaches, focusing on the pursuit of the almighty ??? in a re-imagined, present-day Southern Florida.

Rockstar producer Leslie Benzies; In the early design meetings there were very few cities and regions on Earth that didn’t get pitched as a potential setting. We thought about revisiting London and a few other places but Sam was very keen on Miami with his love of the Miami Vice series.

"Miami is a party town, all sun and sea and sex, but with that same dark edge underneath. Also just like LA, it has been used as a setting for some classic film and television, so it was really the perfect fit."

The announcement describes GTAVI as "the largest and most ambitious game Rockstar has yet created," . "Grand Theft Auto VI is another radical reinvention of the Grand Theft Auto universe," said Rockstar Games co-founder Sam Houser. "We are incredibly excited to share our new vision with our fans."

It will be Vice city.

How about a city somewhere in Asia this time?
Maybe Shanghai or Tokyo?
