well to improve free aim (i never use auto) click in the right thumbstick for a zoomed in and accurate aim. in the long shot free aim is better if you know how to use it as you could cripple a mans leg before he gets to cover and then finish him off with a blow to the head. biggrin.gif

Umm, just have steady thumbs I guess! Clean the thumb sticks every now and then they are 'tacky' i find oil from your fingers can make them slippy and thus less control when you are trying to aim

Speaking of which, is there a way to turn off hard lock on IV? Been playing RDR with free aim only and am loving it, but jumped back to IV to get ready for V and am worried about developing bad habits with getting used to hard lock again (since I know its gone in V).

I know you can just say "don't do it", but when you get into hard shootouts in the open with cops, sometimes instinct kicks in and I just hard lock without even thinking about it. Then right afterwards I'm pissed off at myself. Would rather just turn it off entirely, no fuss no muss.

Thanks if you can help! smile.gif

Just go into your options and scroll down to weapon aim and select free aim. You can toggle it on or off
