First scene I thought Vice City (and dogs?? WTF?) then Boom I see Los Santos. I literally screamed out loud I was so happy.

After watching it a few times I went to go get subway and brought it back home and Watched the trailer the rest of the day.

Which is when I remembered this site. So then I went and read the trailer analysis thread. I remeber them finding the BMX bike im the background and the second dog.

Goodtimes. nervous.gif smile.gif

I remember being nervous the moments before it released, but then soon as I hit play, and those palm trees came up I was like "OMG IS IT VC OR LS" lol and then upon realising, I was delighted. I was sure Michael was our new protagonist, but intrigued by people noticing that we were seeing a few other faces. Remember how we used to call them? Red car guy, Ned Luke, balcony guy.. those times of analysing every frame and having no answers was fun. Feeling nostalgic now.

My heartbeat was over 9000 when the countdown ended. And as soon as i saw it was LS i lost my mind. I was so happy it was Los Santos. That was exactly what I was hoping for.

I was in a class when the trailer went online. After class ended I started watching it with some friends
on someone's iPhone. I got up to about the Wind Turbine scene and then the connection cut out lol.
So I had to wait till I got home to fully watch it.

I still cannot believe that was almost 2 years ago.

I remember forgetting that it was November 2nd, I went to school like any normal day and got back home. Once I turned on my PC I realized what day it was but since I was still new to the newswire (since I always followed their games through Gamespot and such) I went on an old forum and there was a video of the trailer, I watched it. I remember hearing rumors of it going back to Vice City, so right away a few scenes reminded me of it, I was amazed at the amazing graphics and animations as well as the voice that sounds a bit familiar. Finally that final scene came up with the Shamal flying passed the Vinewood sign, from that moment on I realized we were heading back to Los Santos.. then I saw there was no release date so I was starting to think it would be a long ride but never knew it'd be THIS long.

Well, the brighter colors in comparison to IV really stood out for me.The rest of the trailer surely reassured that, and definitely boosted up the hype even more, but that last scene with the plane was just... breathtaking.

When I saw the trailer myself, I thought that it looked so much more dynamic than GTA V. And when I first saw Michael looking at the downtown part of LS, I thought he was just an old man that played the role of a supporting character and not actually a legitimate character. Turns out he was a main character... one of them.

When the trailer ended at 12:01:25pm on November 2, GTAV became my most anticipated game ever. I loved IV for its realism & I loved SA for its wide array of fun content.

I was - and am - so hyped for V because its essentially those 2 GTAs combined.

Hell yeah. Really the only thing that I found that helps me pass the time is recruiting for my crew. I never realized how much work that sh*t is!

2nd November 2011- First trailer
I remember watching the trailer and been impressed. I thought the narrator was "balcony guy" and thought he would be the protagonist with the guy driving the red convertible been as both were seen driving cars. It was great seeing it set in San Andreas again but different due to it just been Los Santos. I really didn't think to much into it as I assumed the game would be out in May 2013 and that was a long way off that date that the debut trailer was shown. My logic was Max Payne 3 would be R* big game in May 2012 and that R* released a big game May every year from GTA IV. Max Payne 3 kept getting pushed back and back until it did come out in May 2012 so that enforced my logic even more. I'd already seen the Max Payne 3 trailer before the GTA V trailer so that got most my attention as I assumed that was next from R* with it been shown first and all the delays. Still it was neat seeing GTA V coming "soon".

LOL SAME REACTION. I came home from school that day and was excited to see where GTA V will be set in and what it has. The first scene I thought it was like Vice City! And a dog! Then the second scene opened up and I was like " oh sh*t! Los santos!". After the trailer I was looking online and people were speculating a spring 2012 launch (lol) . I thought it was true. lol.gif . Anyways then came silence... Until July 12th

Again I was stuck in a lecture at uni since it was a morning lecture.

I remember waiting eagerly to get home and finally watch the trailer. It was right there on the newswire teasing me but I couldn't watch it yet.

When I got home and I saw the trailer I was absolutely amazed and I knew that GTA would be coming back, at long last.

When I saw the Shamal and realized it was going to be in Los Santos again I felt so much joy. But then I saw that there was no release date which was disappointing but understanding. I figured it would be awhile until release but I never imagined it would be this long even by R*'s standards.

When I saw the first seconds of the trailer, I thought it was going to be Vice City...! I loved the mountain and hikers part...such a wonderful introductory trailer!

Man, I can't believe how long ago this was now.

I remember watching it again and again, and enjoying reading everyone's speculation/wild theories on the forums.

I think the high point for me the first time through was either that very first scene where you see a dog on the beach, right off the bat, or when the hydra blew through the city towers.

I might actually be a little sad when all the build up is over!

I was so happy that I would get to play an "updated" GTA.
TBH, I'm tired of replaying SA and IV for like the 30th time. confused.gif

But who would of thought that we would get a game of such scope and scale? I had no idea back in November 2011 what we were in for come September 17 (and October 1st at that).

Maybe it was Michael saying "That thing, that magic", and the euphoric sound of the music, but watching that trailer for the first time was truly an experience that can't be replicated. I'd been bored, and was wanting to hear something about GTA V already. The trailer looked so good to me, with little incidental details and a bright, sunny atmosphere that was such a far cry from IV's poignant Liberty City.
