Alright, I have my motherboard set up and I've been doing just fine, except for a problem right now. I'm supposed to install the supplemental cpu power chord into the slot with the 2x2 power connector. I have the one that's 12x2 (24 power supply cable), but I don't seem to find the 2x2 one. My power supply was built in my case, and I can assure you the 2x2 cable is not there. Anyone know what I should do? Is it completely necessary?

My motherboard is an Intel Core DH87RL, and my case is a thermaltake case.

Most probably you have an 8pin connector instead of 4pin, but you just plug in in the same spot and it'll work fine. What PSU is it?

Pretty sure it's this one.

Also, it looks like this, should that work?

look at it CLOSELY. it separates into two plugs, you have to unhook the clasps holding the two together. then you can anchor the other lead elsewhere in the case...
