Iím talking about those staircases on the outside of most small buildings. Most of them you canít reach the bottom or top of, but if you land on them by heli or whatever, often you will get stuck between levels because they have not been setup correctly.

Anyone else find it funny that this one detail was missed?

What is the point of an outside fire escape that you cannot get down safely?

You can drive a van to the base of the steps, climb onto the roof of the van and climb up the steps.

They were often mentioned in previews before the release and I assume were intended to be used. For whatever reason Rockstar never finalised them which is a shame.

It was great for escape routes in MP, and for glitches in Singleplayer, but yeah I reckon they were just things to make the buildings look more realistic.

Yeah, but with some of them you can only climb up so far before it won't let you climb the rest. dontgetit.gif

Also frustrating is the fact that the top-floor fire escapes are usually positioned so if you try to jump to them from the roof, to take their stairs down to the street or safe jumping height, you'll overshoot and die. Niko needed a few more Tomb Raider-style moves to be able to climb off the roof and drop into those fire escapes.

The incomplete ladder off the top of Broker Bridge, I tried and failed descending them many times before I realised they weren't complete..

Why are they incomplete? Did Rockstar forget to finish it or is that how it is in real life for some reason?

Incomplete in the sense that they don't descend all the way down from the top to the bottom of the bridge and just stop part of the way for some reason. I'm not sure if it is like that on the actual bridge.

In real life they come down by pulling a switch.
